(Ella) Yarnell was the daughter of Milton T. Yarnell and Mary Ann Overton. Ella was the widow of Stephen E. Messamore who had died in 1940. The obit says the services were at the Zion Baptist Church, but the obit does not say explicitly where she was buried. She was in fact buried at the Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. Mary Harris's book has her tombstone inscription as Messamore, Ella J. Yarnell 1-11-1863 3-26-1949. So there is a two day discrepancy on Ella's date of death between the obit and the tombstone inscription. S. B. Messamore was Samuel B. Messamore who was born Aug 1887. Ernest Messamore was James Ernest (Ernest) Messamore who was born Nov 1889. Jerry Bryan
Hey Jerry, Is this the same James Ernest Messamore that was married to Caladonia D. Evans? John __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Mail - now with 250MB free storage. Learn more. http://info.mail.yahoo.com/mail_250

The brothers still living in 1949 were Daniel David Yarnell and Robert M. Yarnell. The sister is a little trickier. The only possibility that I know of is Sarah C. Yarnell, who was 59 years old an still unmarried at the time of the 1930 census. She must have been Sarah Catherine (Kate) Yarnell. Jerry Bryan
