They are talking about Auguntine Austin Hackworth, pg. 50 & 51 in the book Heritage of Anderson Co., 2000 Tennessee. It's really a long story so I'm breaking it down. On 24, Oct. 1852 son Nichodemus Hackworth of Morgan Co., Alabama appeaed before C.A. Welch, J.P.,stating he was son of Auguntine Austin Hackworth. a privet in the Revolutionary war under Captain Thomas Bluford . That his fater died about 1846\47 and never received any pension for his Revolutionary War service, He died leaving 4 children Austin, Samuel, Ruth, and Nichodemus Hackworth. He was a Court of Co,,on plea juror in Green Co., N.C. now Tennessee, in Nov.1792, Army Records Indicate He Remained In Green CO., one year. Paid $ 60 for 50 acers Clinch River ISLAND 24,OCT. 1798, Knox Co., Tennessee . Deed book E1 fllio / P urchased 50 acers 6, April 1799. Anderson Co., Deed book, a 1 pg.4 . second oldest Anderson Co, Tennessee deed, remaining 33 years. In 1825 received a land grant on Sequatchie River, in Marion CO.,Tennessee. Children of Augustine and Mary Ruth Keath Hackworth are ; Nichodemus, born 2n June1779 married with children; Austin, John, Mary Ann ., and Jane Clark; Mary"Polly" married Squire Hendrix, with 2 of their 7 children having given names of Gabriel and Hackworth; Austin Augustus born 23, April1793, married Betsy "PRINCESS"Rignet with children; Johnson , Arminda, Issac Newton, Jasper. Marion, Syrena, Joseph, Mary Jane, and Levi, Samuel born 3, June 1799. married Polly HOLT , had two adopted daughters , Nancy & Elizabeth; Ruth born 1797 lived 101 years.
