>From The Oak Ridger 17 Oct 2007 Faye Freeman, 90, a 28-year resident of Alvin, Texas, passed away Oct. 13, 2007. She was born Nov. 15, 1916, to Marion and Effie (Leinart) Owens in Lake City, Tenn. She enjoyed Brad's Barbeque Cook Offs and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Freeman, in 1994; and one grandson, Mart Freeman. Faye is survived by her children, Linda Richards and husband, Brad, of Alvin, Texas, Howard (Eddie) Freeman and wife, Dora, of Oak Ridge, Tenn., and Joe Mac Freeman of Alvin, Texas; sisters, Noble Patty of Kenosha, Wis., Opal Lamb of Lake City, Tenn., and Betty Parrish of Crossville, Tenn.; grandchildren, Bess Ann Oxley of Alvin, Texas, Brandon Richards of Pearland, Texas, Joseph Freeman of Bakersfield, Calif., and Lynette Waren of Atascadero, Calif.; 15 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and many friends. The visitation was held Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2007, from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Jeter Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Friendswood, Texas, followed by the funeral service at 8 p.m. with the Rev. Odey Young and Cindy Phillips officiating. The graveside service will be held Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2007 at 10 a.m. at Confederate Cemetery in Alvin, Texas. Arrangements are under the care of Jeter Memorial Funeral Home, 311 N. Friendswood Drive, Friendswood, Texas 77546.
