Clinton Courier April 20, 1978 John, Cox Veteran Of War Dies John David Cox, 64, of 803 Fowler St., Clinton, died Sunday morning at Mountain Home Veterans Hospital in Johnson City after a long illness. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ruby Bowling Cox, four sister, Mrs. Ruby Foster and Mrs. Clara Foster of Clinton Rt.1, Mrs. Myrtle Reynolds and Miss. Texie Cox of Knoxville, and a half-brother, Clifton Cox of Alabama. Funeral services were held Tuesday at First Wesleyan Church in Clinton with the Rev. Samuel E. Condon officiating. Burial was in Sunset Cemetery.
