Addie Jane England 1876-1948 was the daughter of James William (William or Wilburn or Bill) England and Fanny E. Lea. Bill England was the brother of my gg grandmother Vesta Clay England. Bill England and Fanny Lee were married on 14 Jul 1875 in Anderson County. Addie's death certificate says that she was born on 30 May 1875 in Knox County, and Addie was enumerated in the 1880 census in Knox County, age 3. So I suspect Addie was really born 30 May 1876. Addie was raised by her grandparents James Crofford (Crofford) Lea and Rebecca Adaline Starky in Knox County. Bill England married second Margaret Jones on 17 Aug 1878 in Morgan County. So Fanny Lea must have died when Addie was born, or shortly thereafter. Addie married Alexander S. (Alex) Wallace or Alexander S. Tallent, and therein lies the mystery. The marriage record is Addie Jane England to Alexander Tallent, 21 Jun 1893, in Knox County. Here is the 1900 census entry for the family.
