    2. >From the Oak Ridger 5 Jul 2007 Sheila Diane Drewery, age 47, a resident of Oliver Springs, Vivian Jeffers Gordon, age 89, of Colby Road, Oak Ridge, Mrs. Lola Mae Barnett Kelly Stephen Jay Nicholson, 57, of Oak Ridge, Henry Thrift, age 75, Keith Lively, age 28, a resident of Oliver Springs, Robert John Clouse, 85, of Oak Ridge, Sheila Diane Drewery, age 47, a resident of Oliver Springs, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, died Tuesday, July 3, 2007, at the home of her mother-in-law, Jessie Ruth Drewery. Sheila was born Jan. 22, 1960, in Asheville, North Carolina. She moved to Oliver Springs in 1978. She was a energetic lady who lived life to its fullest. Her hobbies included shopping, shopping, and shopping. She worked as a customer service agent for Whirlpool Inc. In addition, she also was employed as a teacher's assistant at the Norwood school. Sheila was a member of Oliver Springs Community Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Isaac Mayton and Helen Lucille Kimblin Mayton, and by a brother, Danny Mayton. Sheila is survived by her husband of 29 years, Joseph Raymond "Ray" Drewery of Oliver Springs; her sons, Shaun Drewery of Oak Ridge and Shannon Drewery of Oliver Springs; her grandson, Tyson Fudge of Oak Ridge; her brothers, David Mayton and wife, Beth, of Asheville, N.C., and Steve Mayton and wife, Morine, of Athens, Tenn.; and her sister, Linda Giles and husband, Jimmy, of Oliver Springs. The family will be reminiscing, sharing stories and celebrating Sheila's life with friends between the hours of 6 and 8 p.m. Friday, July 6, 2007, at Sharp Funeral Home in Oliver Springs. Funeral services will follow in the funeral home chapel at 8 p.m. with Rev. Gary Hensley officiating. Burial and graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 7, 2007, at Anderson Memorial Gardens. Sharp Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. An online guest book available at www.sharpfh.com. Vivian Jeffers Gordon, age 89, of Colby Road, Oak Ridge, passed away on July 3, 2007. She was preceded in death by her husband, John R. Gordon. Vivian came to Oak Ridge in 1944 to work for Union Carbide Corporation, where she met John, her husband to be. She was later a private business owner in Oak Ridge. She and her daughter, Sarah Craven, operated Gordon's Disc-0-Tape in French's Plaza from July 1, 1969 until July 3, 1982, where they sold records, 8-track tapes, black lights, and black light posters. Many of her customers became life-long friends. Vivian was a master seamstress and loved to crochet items for all her family and friends. One of her favorite things to do was shop with her daughters. She is survived by her children, Sarah Darnell Craven, Jimmie Darnell Griffin, Judie Gordon Henegar, and John "Buzz" Gordon; sons-in-law and daughter-in-law, Paul Craven, Ted Griffin, Allen Henegar, and Cindi Gordon; sister, Jane Flanders; and brothers, Archie D. Jeffers and Onva Hatfield, and sister-in-law, Chris Jeffers. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Cindy Bostic, Wendell Craven, Steven LeTellier, Michael LeTellier, Brent LeTellier, Kent Corley, Jill Gordon, Holly Vivian White, Blake Gordon, Dylan Gordon; grandsons-in-law and granddaughters-in-law, Bob Smith, Kevin White, Martine Craven, Sara LeTellier, Susan LeTellier, Maria LeTellier, and Terra Corley; great-grandchildren, Brian Bostic, Natalie Craven, Max Brisben, Adam Brisben, Mason Brisben, Stephen Wells, Maya LeTellier, Casey LeTellier, Megan LeTellier, Nicole LeTellier, and Elaina LeTellier, and great-granddaughter-in-law, Rebecca Bostic; and by many special friends and family. She sadly passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 30, 2007. Mrs. Kelly was married to Jesse Lee Kelly. She confessed Christ at an early age and united with Oak Valley Baptist Church under the leadership of the Reverends Simms and McKinnon. She was a graduate of Knoxville College and served for over 30 years as a social worker with the state of Tennessee. She left her mark on all of East Tennessee by uniting children with loving families. In addition, she was a volunteer counselor with Contact Helpline, served on the Youth Haven board of directors, and served with numerous other charity and youth organizations. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family, helping those in need, and participating in Church of Christ ladies retreats. Mrs. Kelly was preceded in death by her father, John Blackman; father-in-law, Dave Washington; brothers, Jesse Phillips and James Horton; sister, Mattie Turner; several uncles: Allen, Bill, Tom, and Paul Barnett and James Meadows; and daughter, Cynthia. Mrs. Kelly is survived by her husband, Jesse; mother, Emma Barnett; mother-in-law, the Rev. Hattie Washington, all of Oak Ridge; son, Eric (Tribby) Kelly of Oak Ridge; daughter, Jessica Kelly of Oak Ridge; and her stepchildren, Dan of Los Angeles, Calif.; Roderick of Atlanta, Ga.; Ken (Juanita) of Stone Mountain, Ga.; and Cynthia of Oak Ridge. She is also survived by her sisters, Mary (Michael) Walker of Columbus, Ohio, Barretta Barnett of Oak Ridge, and Lamerle (Hugh) Richardson of Roosevelt, N.Y.; brothers-in-law, Kelly King and Jerry Washington of Oak Ridge; sisters-in-law, Kathy (Bill) Strickland of Oak Ridge, Ann Washington of Knoxville, Tenn., and Maggie Burum of Greeneville, Tenn.; uncle, Joe Nathan of Beulah, Ala.; aunts, Sarah Sharpe of Detroit, Mich., Belle (Johnny) Harvest of Oak Ridge, and Louis Madden of Valley, Ala. "Granny Lola" had 12 grandchildren, Jos Ronaldo, Ashley Marie, Teresa Trinidad, and Nathaniel Toussaint Kelly, all of Stone Mountain, Ga.; LaKeisha Jackie Kelly of Atlanta, Ga.; DeShawn Jesse Wright, Kyla Alexandra, Bryanna Kennyja', Olivia Grace, Jordan Elizabeth, Isabella Eryka, and Kyasya Fayth Kelly, all of Oak Ridge. Mrs. Kelly had a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins that she held dear to her heart. In addition, she had numerous friends whose love and friendship was always cherished. The family will be receiving friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Oak Valley Baptist Church on Saturday, July 7, 2007, with the funeral service at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Hardill Thomas officiating. Stephen Jay Nicholson, 57, of Oak Ridge, was fatally injured in an automobile accident on June 29, 2007. He was preceded in death by his father, John Nicholson. He is survived by his mother, Joann Nicholson, and his four children: daughters, Seara Nicholson and fianc , Dan Holland; Joanna Nicholson and his granddaughter, Caitlin Tipton; sons, Evan and wife, Shelley Nicholson, and youngest son, Zachary Nicholson; sister, Patty and her husband, David Miller, along with their children, Mark and Samantha. He will be greatly missed by his many friends and especially his fianc e, Gayla Kirksy Owen, and her daughter, Haley. Steve recently received his master of science degree in social work from the University of Tennessee and began working as a crisis counselor at The Lighthouse. He was deeply spiritual, striving for enlightenment in his own life and for others. He enjoyed many aspects of nature, especially hiking in the Smokies. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle and spending time with his family and friends. Henry Thrift, age 75, entered eternal rest on Monday, July 2, 2007, at Briarcliff Health Care Center in Oak Ridge, Tenn. Henry was a member of Highland View Church of Christ and retired from Third National Bank and Bell South. A devoted husband, father and grandfather, brother and friend, Henry leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Charlestine; sons, Henry (Christine), Rollin (Rita), Frederick (Rhonda); daughters, Janice (James), Kim (Robert); 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 11 sisters; three brothers; three brothers-in-law; four sisters-in-law; one aunt; and a host of relatives and friends. The family would like to thank the Second, Third, and Fifth floor nurses, staff and doctors at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge for their special care and assistance during his recent hospitalization.
