Clinton Courier Oct. 9, 1969 Lake City Native Dies In Kentucky Mrs. Bessie Farr, 75, formerly of Lake City and member of an old family there, died Saturday night in Richmond, Ky. Mrs. Farr was the daughter of Sherman Maples, who was an attorney in Knoxville and later at Lake City. She only leaves cousins, including, Mrs. Hattie Maples of Lake City and Mrs. Horace Maples of Powell. Services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at Cox Funeral Home in Lake City with the Rev. Harold Watson officiating.Burial was in Foust Cemetery.
