He had been ill since January. Born and reared in Lake City, Foust lived on Dutch Valley Rd at Lake City Rt 1. When Foust retired, he was employed by H K Ferguson Construction Co in Oak Ridge. Several years ago he worked in construction for Tennessee Valley Authority. He was a member of Coal Creek Lodge 492 F&AM and of Clear Branch Baptist Church. Services were at his church at 2 PM Wednesday with the Rev W H Beets and the Rev George Williams officiating. Burial was in Leach Cemetery. Masons conducted services Tuesday night at Martin Funeral Home chapel in Lake City. He leaves his wife; Mrs Minnie Lee Bowman Foust; four sons, Edward K Foust Jr and Walter R Foust, both of Oak Ridge, Warren K Foust of Clarkville, and Robert E Foust of Clinton; four daughters, Mrs Eugene (Helen) Holler of Anaheim, CA, Mrs Lyle (Eloise) Kenney of Paramount, CA, Mrs Kyle (Marie) Amerine of Clinton, and Mrs Thomas (Edna Lee) Hyder of Dayton, Ohio; 22 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs Winnie Sliger and Mrs Mackie Parks, both of Los Angeles; and a brother, Dewey Foust of Oregon.
