From The Knoxville News Sentinel 18 Dec 2004 CRUTCHFIELD, CAPTAIN JAMES FRANKLIN "JIM" AGC USAR RET. - age 83, of Vasper, Tennessee LAMBERT, TED LAVERNE - age 64 of LaFollette CRUTCHFIELD, CAPTAIN JAMES FRANKLIN "JIM" AGC USAR RET. - age 83, of Vasper, Tennessee passed away Friday, December 17, 2004 at his residence. He was U. S. Army veteran having served in World War II and the Korean War. He was preceded in death by wife, Patsy Sue Crutchfield; son, Hiram Edgar Crutchfield, MD; parents, Hiram & Dollie Byrd Crutchfield; brothers, Jasper, Archie, Malcolm, Coy, Cleetis & Collis Crutchfield; sister, Omeda Barnes. Survivors: brothers: McKinley Crutchfield of Knoxville, TN, Ancil Crutchfield of Bryson City, N.C., John Crutchfield of Columbia, S. C.; sisters: Lorene Knight of Copperas Cove, Texas, Millie Crutchfield of Lake City, TN; several nieces & nephews and host of other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends on Monday, December 20th from 5:30 to 7:30 PM at the Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Lake City with the funeral service to follow at 7:30 in the chapel with Rev. Mike Segers officiating. Interment will be Tuesday, December 21st at 11:00 AM at the New Vasper Cemetery with full military honors by the Campbell County Honor Guard. LAMBERT, TED LAVERNE - age 64 of LaFollette passed away Friday, December 17, 2004 at the St. Mary's Medical Center of Campbell County. He was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church, the Jacksboro Masonic Lodge F&AM, and Shriner. He was preceded in death by parents: Dan and Uhla Miller Lambert. Mr. Lambert is survived by wife: Sandra Lambert of LaFollette; son: Keith Lambert of Powell; sons and daughters-in-law: Kevin and Mona Lambert of Maryville; Teddy and Natalie Lambert of LaFollette; daughter and son-in-law: Lisa and Chris Wolford of Alcoa, TN; stepdaughters: Tammy and husband, J.B. Nolan; Kim Knechtges all of LaFollette; 12 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law: Sam and Vicki Lambert of MI; sisters and brothers-in-law: Dana and Bob Henley; Charlene and Byrd Jeffers all of LaFollette; Sue and Rodney Lindsay of MI; JoAnn and Virgil Allen of AL; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be 2 PM Sunday, December 19 in the Chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Carlo Bruce officiating. Internment will follow in Bakers Forge Cemetery with full military honors conducted by the Campbell County Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 12 to 2 PM Sunday before funeral services.
