"BILL" - age 88, of Andersonville JETT, ALLENE CADDELL - age 84 of LaFollette, RUSSELL, PEGGY JO HUGHES - of Oliver Springs, BUNCH, RALPH E. - age 76 of Lenoir City, passed away Monday, December 6, 2004, at Park West Medical Center. He was a retired Vice President from Anning Johnson Co. He served in the U. S. Navy. Preceded in death by: wife, Betsy Bunch. Survived: sons, Larry Bunch and wife, Kathy, Garry Bunch and wife, Karen, Tom Bunch and wife, Lisa; daughter, Robin Bunch; grandson, Austin Bunch; granddaughters, Jana Bunch and Tenesa Bunch. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. with Rev. Billy Rogers officiating. BYRD, BEULAH GARDNER - age 70, of Harriman went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, December 9, 2004, at U.T. Medical Center. Beulah was preceded in death by her father, Alex Lupton Gardner; mother, Frances Beulah Jones Gardner; brother, Frank Davis; and sister, Juanita Davis Oran. She was a member of South Harriman Baptist Church for 51 years, and retired in 1990 as Assistant Manager of the local Sears Catalog Store. To her family, she was the world's greatest wife, mother and grandmother. Survivors are: husband: David Byrd of Harriman; daughter: Theresa Byrd Browder of Chattanooga; son: Terry M. Byrd and wife, Annette, of Harriman; brothers: H.R. (Henry) Gardner and wife, Mary, of Cocoa Beach, FL, Bill Gardner and wife, Lou, of Powder Springs, GA, Bob Gardner and wife, Alice, of Merritt Island, FL; former daughter-in-law: Mary Lea Byrd/Sullivan and husband, Robert, of Harriman; grandchildren: Leslea and Eric Byrd of Harriman, Matt and Alex Browder of Chattanooga, Brandon Temple of Harriman. Funeral service 3:00 p.m. Sunday, December 12, at South Harriman Baptist Church, with Rev. Edsel West, Rev. Randy Maxwell and Ken Isham officiating. Interment will follow in Roane Memorial Gardens. "BILL" - age 88, of Andersonville went home to be with the Lord on December 8, 2004. He was a member of Ridgeview Baptist Church in Knoxville. His ministry spanned 58 years of service to Southern Baptist Churches in the Knoxville, Clinton, & Middlesboro, KY. areas. Some of the churches he pastored included: Linden Ave. Baptist Church, Highland Baptist Church, Third Creek Baptist Church, & Basswood Baptist Church in Knoxville. He also pastored Old Yellow Creek Baptist Church in Middlesboro, KY, Gap Creek Baptist Church in Harrogate, TN., & Pleasant View Baptist Church in Clinton, TN. He was preceded in death by: 1st. wife, Margaret Wallace Cardwell; son, Charles Allen Cardwell; several brothers & sisters. Survivors: wife, Stella; sons, Ron Cardwell and Ken Cardwell of Chattanooga; steps sonsm Gary, Mike, Bill, & Richard Berrier; several grand & great grandchildren. JETT, ALLENE CADDELL - age 84 of LaFollette, passed away Friday, December 10, 2004 at UT Medical Center in Knoxville. She was born March 26, 1920 in Kettle Island, Ky. the daughter of the late Barney & Ella Hubbard. She was a member of Elm Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by first husband, Arnold Caddell and several brothers. Survivors include: husband, Gene Jett, LaFollette; daughter & son in law, Betty & Walter Mayhew, Madisonville, Ky.; son & daughter in law, Joe & Louise Cadell, Jacksonville, Fla.; 2 grandchildren, Denise Wilson, Madisonville, Ky., Lynn Mayhew, Owensboro, Ky.; 4 great grandchildren, Brady Scott, Lauran Mayhew, Jessica Mayhew, William Stuart Mayhew; 1 step son, Eddie Jett, Clinton, Tenn.; 2 step grandchildren; 2 sisters, Judy Ratliff, LaGrange, Ky., Coralee Mitchell, Louisville, Ky. Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Creech Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tim Russell officiating. Music by Jimmy Jackson & Dickie Siler. Interment Pineville Cemetery 11 a.m. Sunday. Family will receive friends 4-7 p.m. Saturday at the Creech Funeral Home Chapel. Creech Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements. RUSSELL, PEGGY JO HUGHES - of Oliver Springs, passed away December 10, 2004 at the Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. Mrs. Russell enjoyed her flower garden, working in her yard, collecting dolls, and took pride in caring for her mother, Ella Mae Hughes. She was preceded in death by her father, Sam Hughes, brother, Billy Hughes, son, Randy Scott Russell and grandson, Curtis Tyler Russell. Mrs. Russell is survived by her husband of 53 years, Oxie Russell, Jr.; mother, Ella Mae Hughes; and brother, Ralph Hughes and wife, Sara all of Oliver Springs. She is survived by five children, Donald Russell and wife, Mildred, Connie Sharp and husband, William F. Lisa Cox and husband, Clark, Michael Russell and wife, Cathy and Robin Russell and wife, Dorothy all of Oliver Springs. Mrs. Russell is survived by fourteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren which were the joy of her life; one sister in law, Blanie Hughes of San Antonio, TX and several uncles, aunts, nieces, and nephews also survive her. The family will receive friends Sunday, December 12, 2004 from 6-8 p.m. at the Oliver Springs Mortuary with the funeral following at 8 p.m. The Rev. Garvan Walls will officiate. Interment will be Monday, December 13, 2004 at 11 a.m. at Anderson Memorial Gardens.
