Mrs. Delilah Bell, 87, of 7045 W. 23rd St., Black Oak resident for 32 years and the oldest member of Black Oak Baptist Church, died Monday after an illness of two months. Surviving are three daughters. Mrs. Gertrude Vaughan of Black Oak, Mrs. Reveler Robbinson of Herod, Ill, and Mrs. Magdaline Garrison of Roselawn, Ind.; two sons, Condie of Whiting and Lawrence at home; 36 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; two sisters, Miss Lizzie Poore of Andersonville. Tenn. and Mrs. Pearl Foust at Fraterville, Tenn.; and a brother, Bruce Poore, of Briceville, Tenn. Friends may call at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Ave., Hammond, after 7 p.m. today. The body will be taken to Black Oak Baptist Church at 11 a.m. Thursday for the funeral at 2 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. William E. Jones officiating, Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Hammond.
