Crossville Chronicle obit Published December 2000 MYRTLE PHILLIPS LOWE Myrtle Phillips Lowe, 79, of Petros, TN, passed away Dec. 15, 2000. Funeral services will be conducted today, Dec. 19, at 1 p.m. at Union Baptist Church in Wartburg, with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Charles Ellis and Lucy Lowe will officiate. Mrs. Lowe was born July 21, 1921, in Anderson County, TN, the daughter of Isaac and Elizabeth Phillips. She was a homemaker. Survivors include her daughters, Hazel Byrge of Lancing and Dellie Lowe Vineyard of Oneida, TN; daughters and sons-in-law, Haley and Daniel Taylor of Sunbright, TN, and Ollie and Sammy Taylor of Petros; sons and daughters-in-law, Glen and Virginia Lowe of DeRossett, TN, Walter and Armilda Lowe of Chattsworth, GA, Billy and Linda Lowe of Briceville, TN, and Jerry and Lucy Lowe of Robbins, TN; sisters, Narcia Aslinger of Briceville, Nora Phillips of Petros and Evia Byrge of Wartburg, TN; brother, Moses Ide "M.I." Phillips of New River, TN; 40 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a special person Mrs. Lowe thought of as a son, Clarence Seivers of Wartburg. She was preceded in death by her parents, Isaac and Elizabeth Phillips; husband, Turney Lowe; daughter, Dorothy Lowe; son, Ernest Lowe; sisters, Laurie Nolan and Edith Phillips; brothers, Roscoe Phillips, Homer Phillips, Carley Phillips and Ezra Phillips; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Schubert Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
