(Jack) Wilson, age 79 of Jellico Mary L. Adkins, age 93 of Eagan died Jan. 15 at Beechtree Manor in Jellico. She was saved at the age of 13 and was a member of Kensee Church of God. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Adkins, Sr, son, Elbert Adkins; step-sons, Albert and Ewell Adkins.She is survived by her son, Rev. Hugh Adkins, Jr. of Clairfield; daughter, Lucille Powers of Duff; step-daughter, Jocelyn St. Andry of Natchitoches, LA; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; a host of family and friends. Funeral services were held Jan. 18 at the Harp Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Raney Whitehead and Rev. Jeff Hurst officiating. Music was by Rev. Raney and Teresa Whitehead, Shelia Hurst, Rev. Johnny Katheryn Ballew, age 59 of Linton, IN died Jan. 11 at the Lyons Health and Living Center in Linton, IN. She was born Sept. 9, 1945 in Jellico. She was a member of Faith United Baptist Church in Dent, OH. She was preceded in death by her mother, Virginia Fields; brother, Walter Fields. She is survived by her husband, Ron Ballew; daughters, Shannon Roach of Bloomfield, IN, Deanne Padgett of Jasonville, IN, Susan Clark of Linton, IN; brothers, Archie Fields and Gary Fields of Ala; sisters, Jimmy Foshee of OH, Rita K. Bolden and Lavenna Ann Archer, both of Ala; six grandchildren. Funeral services were Jan. 15 at the Linton First Christian Church with Rev. Mike Chapman officiating. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grand mother and a granny to all she knew. Alma Lee Kimberlin Edwards was born July, 31, 1917 in Campbell County to the late Frank and Emma Love Kimberlin. She was a loving wife of Millard Edwards for 62 years who passed away in 1995. They had eight children. She was a hard worker, managing the family farm while her husband worked away from home. She accepted Jesus Christ as her savior as a young girl and lived her life telling others about Him that they too, would be saved His grace. God graciously answered a very special prayer for her on Jan. 10. She had prayed that she would go to sleep and wake up in heaven. God granted her request. Even though her family mourns for her and are sad to say goodbye, they know that she is in God's special care. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Emma Love Kimberlin; husband, Millard; children, Roy and Lloyd; one great grandchild. She is survived by her children, Betty Fisher of Fla, Blanche Poteat of In, Lynda Hardesty of Or, Jane Aldrich of Wa, Bill Edwards of Fla, Kathy McCart of Speedwell; 15 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Cross Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Harry Bryson Grindersleve, age 8 months of Caryville died Jan. 8 at the Children's Hospital in Knoxville. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Harry Grindersleve. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, retired tool and die maker, member of United Auto Workers Union, and attended the Fincastle United Methodist Church. He was well known for helping his neighbors and friends and anyone in need, and could fix and repair anything. He was preceded in death by his parents, L.C and Jessie Hills; brothers, Arnold and Dean Hills. He is survived by his wife, Norma Hills of Speedwell; children, Karen Brown and husband, Timothy of Speedwell and Terry Hartman and wife, Teresa of Waldron, MI; grandchildren, Tiffianey Hartman, Tonya Hartman, Raven Arthur, Damion Arthur and January Arthur; sisters, Donna Wight of Fontana, CA and Carol Green and husband, Robert of Fontana, CA;several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was a member of Ford Town Baptist Church. Katherine Francis Pickle Parrott, age 80 of Trenton, MI, formerly of LaFollette died Jan. 12. She was owner of the Vogue Beauty Salon was dedicated to her clients for over 50 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Parrott; son, George; parents, Frank and Virlie Pickle; brothers, Gordon and John Pickle; sister, June. She is survived by her children, Margaret and James; grandchildren, Megan Pratt and Ian Hoehl; great-grandchildren, Ryan, Grace, Katherine and Otto; brothers, Owen Pickle and Roy Pickle; sisters, Liz Drake, Ann Moore and Barbara Jo Carroll; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was a resident of the Reflections Home in Jacksboro. He enjoyed going to Dollywood, was a big UT fan and sports fanatic. He was preceded in death by his parents, Matthew and Lettye Seal; aunt, Margaret Seal. He is survived by many friends and the staff of Bright Horizons and will be greatly missed by all. John Raymond Ulmer Sr. age 62 of LaFollette died Jan. 15 at the St. Mary's Medical Center of Campbell County. He was a member of the Indiana Avenue Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, car racing and spending lots of time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Love Heatherly Ulmer; brother, Kenneth Ulmer. He was preceded in death by father: James Clyde Underwood. He was born Oct. 23, 1925 at Newcomb, the son of the late Iven and Lucinda Russell Wilson. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII. He is survived by his wife, Gertie Bowlin Wilson of Jellico; son, Robert Wilson of Lakeland, Fl; daughters, Elizabeth Griffin of Independence, KY, Wanda Atkinson of Ocean Isle, NC, Linda Smither of Aurora, IN; 14 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
