Hi John: Do you remember what the author's name was, or any of the characters names in the book?? I might possibly have it or have heard of it, but don't recall right off. I remember the man that owned Shanghi for a while, but didn't know his name. I am sure Daddy did, as he kept his boat there. I have all those books written by David Hunter, who was an officer in Knox County. Could he have been the author of this book you are talking about? Hi Lib, No, I know David Hunter from or use to work for Knox County S.O. and started writing for the Sentinel and doing books so he retired about 1990 from the Knox Co, SO. This book was written long before David ever thought about working at KCSO. It covers a period of time from the 1960's to about 1972. I can't recall the fictitious names he used for Wally and Pat Joyce who was Chief Detective. Richard Faschino from Lake City PD who use to work for Anderson County S.O. has two books out and he took real life stories, all of the people in them he gave fictitious names. Only problem with doing stuff like that is years down the road you can't separate whats real and whats fantasy and you will have them mixed in together if you can even think about them to mix them up,LOL! Ah yes, a good cold PBR, a fishing pole, the Shanghi and cooperating fish would sure make the day go by nicely. I wonder if Bill Kincaid has been catching any Bass or Rocks lately?
