She was born November 14, 1920 in Fork Ridge, TN. Mrs. Minton was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, Foster Minton: by her son, Wallace Neal (Debbie) Minton and her sister Frances (Jean) Cook. She is survived by her devoted son, Michael V. Minton (Suzette) of Cincinnati, OH. Five grandchildren; Mary Kaye Apke (Robert) of Elon, N.C.; Kevin Neal Minton of Richland, Washington; Laura Lee Davis (Shane) of Cincinnati, OH; Kelly Joel Minton (Cari) of Ceder Rapids, Iowa and Angela Hope Nurnberg (Paul) of Edgewood, KY. Great grandmother to Jesse Spitzer, Lindsay Apke, Kelsey, Holly and Curtis Nurnberg. Isaiah and Hope Elizabeth Minton. Also survived by sister Juanita (Byrge) Farmer of Middlesboro, KY and brother Neal Byrge of Tampa, FL; nieces, nephews and many friends. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Wednesday at Shumate Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1 pm Thursday at Shumate Funeral Home with Dr. Chuck Summers. Music will be by Todd Spangler. Burial will follow the service in the Green Hill Memorial Gardens. If desired, Memorials may be made to Gideons International Worldwide Bible distribution.
