GARY L., SR. - age 57 of Duff TINKER, HAROLD DEAN - age 70, a resident of Coalfield, WRIGHT, KATHLEEN - of Clinton DRUMMOND, TINA DENESE - 39, of Oak Ridge, died Friday, January 21, 2005 at the Methodist Medical Center. She was born August 25, 1965 in Oak Ridge and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Clinton. In earlier years, she had worked in the food service industry and had a big interest in modeling. She was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Ann Oldaker Drummond, August 4, 2003. She is survived by: father, Clyde H. Drummond, Jr. and step-mother, Carol Sue Drummond of Clinton; daughter, Jamie Lynn Manning of Knoxville; brother, Brian Michael Drummond and wife, Danyel of Oak Ridge; sister, Teri Hesselbach and husband Carl of Knoxville; grandson, Tristan Cade Fleisch of Knoxville; 2 step-sisters; 3 nephews and 1 niece. Funeral services are Monday, January 24, 2005 at 8:00 pm at Weatherford Mortuary with Dr. Steve McDonald officiating. Graveside services are Tuesday at 2:30 pm at Oak Ridge Memorial Park. GARGIS, RICHARD MEADE - age 47 of Powell, passed away Monday, January 17, 2005 at the UT Medical Center in Knoxville. He was born July 13, 1957 in Ala. Richard was a member of the Lake City Christian Fellowship Church. He was an excellent welder. He is preceded in death by his father, Alfred Meade Gargis. Survivors: wife, Connie Smith Gargis, Powell; son, Nathaniel Wilson, Clinton; daughters, Regina Trousdall, Ala., Miranda Davis, Ala.; brothers, Barry Gargis, Ala., Jeff Hardin, Ala.; sister, JoAnne Heuple, Ala.; six grandchildren. GIBSON, COACH JIM "HOOT" - age 69, passed away Friday morning, Jan. 21, 2005, at his home In Wartburg, after a courageous battle with lung Cancer. Mr. Gibson was born Feb. 17, 1935 in Morristown, Tn. and graduated from Morristown High School in 1954. He served in the Army from 1954 to 1956. He attended Carson Newman College from 1956- 1960 where he was an outstanding Football player. He received his Masters Degree in Education in 1970 from Tenn. Tech. He was employed as a Football Coach and teacher in the East Tenn. area for 38 years. His coaching career took Him to Coalfield, Elizabethton, Wartburg, Unicoi Co., Loudon, Scott Co. Clinton, Rockwood and Kingston, which led to much success as well as Many close friendships. Mr. Gibson was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; Margaret Stahl and James H. Ray, Sr. TINKER, HAROLD DEAN - age 70, a resident of Coalfield, passed away Thursday, January 20, 2005 at Ft. Sanders Park West Medical Center in Knoxville. He was born third oldest of 15 siblings on Windrock Mountain September 29, 1934. At age 23, he left the United States Army, after serving his country to care for his family after his father was injured in a mining accident. He worked as a coal miner for 25 years until retiring in 1981. He was known for the many projects he worked on through the years. Most noted for the restoration of the old Shannon Building in Coalfield, now known as The Tinker-Riley Place. He enjoyed fishing and gardening, loved and respected by everyone who knew him, for his work ethic, humble nature and uncompromising love for family. He dropped at the alter of Big Mountain Baptist Church on November 21, 2004 and welcomed Jesus Christ into his heart and celebrated his rebirth with the loving people of that church. Preceded in death by his parents, Luther & Barbara Patterson Tinker; brothers, Junior & Buford Tinker; sisters, Hazel Tinker and Joyce Shackelford. WRIGHT, KATHLEEN - of Clinton passed away Monday, January 21, 2005 at Methodist Medical Center after a brief illness. She was born in Riddleton, TN, to L.S. and Mary Etta Taylor, both of whom are deceased. Kathleen worked for 32 years as a school secretary for the Oak Ridge School System. She served at Elm Grove until it closed, at Cedar Hill until it closed, then finished her career at the old Glenwood Elementary School. She and Joe, her husband of 54 devoted years, loved the lake. They lived on Melton Hill Lake, but enjoyed 28 years of house boating on their beloved Watts Bar Lake. Their houseboat was always the gathering center at Bay Side Marina because of Kathleen's very accomplished cooking skills. Kathleen was extremely devoted to her family, as was Joe before he passed away 5 years ago. Their influence on their family is reflected in their great- grandchildren, Rebecca Taylor Wright, Steven Parker Wright, and Parker Holmes Wright all being named after them: Kathleen Taylor Wright and Joe Parker Wright. Kathleen is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Ronald S. Wright, Sr. and Cheryl of Oak Ridge. Grandsons: Dr. Ronald S. Wright, Jr. and wife, Margaret of Brentwood, TN, Matthew P.
