Vann, 90, a resident of Oak Ridge and formerly of Oliver Springs, Harry Clifton Savage IV, 54, of Knoxville, John Philip "Phil" Bryant, 51, of Port Royal, S.C., the husband of Jacquelyn Rausch Bryant, died Friday, Jan. 21, 2005, at Beaufort Memorial Hospital in Beaufort, S.C. Mr. Bryant was born on Jan. 21, 1954, in Anderson, S.C., the son of the Rev. John Earl Bryant and Lenora Caldwell Bryant. He was employed by Comcast Cablevision as a quality control technician. He was formerly a handler and trainer of elephants and other zoo animals in Florida, and was an avid NASCAR fan. He attended the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship Church in Port Royal, S.C. Mr. Bryant was preceded in death by his parents. In addition to his wife, Mr. Bryant is survived by his two daughters, Megan Elizabeth Summers of Deland, Fla., and Kathleen Grace Bryant of Port Royal; a brother, Bruce Bryant of Oak Ridge; a sister, Lisa Mason of Greer, S.C.; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service was held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2005, in the chapel of Anderson Funeral Home in Beaufort, S.C. Keith Edward Bugg, 52, of Morningside Drive in Oak Ridge, died unexpectedly on Monday, Jan. 24, 2005. He was born in Ashland, Ky. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Sally Bugg, and a nephew, Steve Dotson. He is survived by two sisters, Paula Beam and husband, Dale, and Vickie McShane and husband, Mick; two nieces, Tracie Massey and husband, Darrell, and Keva Dotson; and two nephews, Shawn Sizemore and Brian McShane. Howard Ruben Mullins, 71, of Oak Ridge, died at his home on Monday, Jan. 24, 2005. He was born on Dec. 20, 1933, in Harriman, to parents William Ruben and Ruth Phillips Mullins. Mr. Mullins was self-employed as a contractor with H & R Mullins Excavating. He was a member of Royce Baptist Church. Mr. Mullins thoroughly loved, and enjoyed spending time with, his infant grandson and toddler great-grandson. He enjoyed country music, playing the bass guitar, and working with heavy equipment. Mr. Mullins is survived by his wife of 50 years, Janet Lanelle "Phoebe" Barger Mullins of Oak Ridge; his son, Ricky Howard Mullins and wife, Betty Leeann, of Claxton; his daughters, Debbi Mullins Morrow and husband, Bob, of Woodstock, Ga., and Linda Mullins Leon and husband, Chris Alan, of Clinton; his brothers, Mack Mullins and wife, Virgie, of Oliver Springs, and Jackie Mullins and wife, Wanda, of Harriman; his sister, Frances Sexton and husband, Bobby, of Harriman; his grandchildren, Camden Leon, 2 months old, of Clinton, Tony Taylor of Claxton, Jason Morrow of Woodstock, and Jodi Reister and husband, Tim, of Woodstock, Ga.; and great-grandchild, Leo Reister, 2 years old, of Woodstock. The funeral will be held at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2005, at Royce Baptist Church with the Rev. Rick Miller officiating. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday at Anderson Memorial Gardens on Oliver Springs Highway. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the church. She was born on Oct. 12, 1919, in Lewistown, Mont. Betty earned her master's degree from Montana State University and taught high school for 12 years in Red Lodge, Mont. She was a member of the Montana Teachers Association. She also worked for the Civil Service for three years. Betty enjoyed going to the theater and for long rides in the mountains. She adored cats. In addition to her parents, Albert Hausman and Estella Kessler, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edmund Tucker of Billings, Mont., and a brother, Louis Kessler. She is survived by her surrogate family, Phyllis LaForge of Oak Ridge, her children and grandchildren, and several cousins. A private memorial service will be held at Sharp Funeral Home in Oliver Springs. A memorial service will be held also in Tucson, Ariz. at the same time. Vann, 90, a resident of Oak Ridge and formerly of Oliver Springs, died on Monday, Jan. 24, 2005, at NHC HealthCare of Oak Ridge. She was born on March 1, 1914, in Anderson County, and was a lifelong resident of this area. She was a member of the Beech Park Baptist Church in Oliver Springs. Mrs. Vann was employed as an inspector at the Magnet Hosiery Mill in Clinton for 38 years. In addition to her parents, Thomas and Nellie Seiber Queener, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Vann; her brothers, Leon, Bill, Clarence, Floyd and Theodore Queener; and her two sisters, Carrie Vann and Maggie Queener. She is survived by a host of nieces and nephews; special friends, Bobby and Marilyn Snipes, and C. H. Smith, all of Oliver Springs. The funeral will be at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2005, in the chapel of Sharp Funeral Home in Oliver Springs with the Rev. Robbie Leach and the Rev. Gary Smith officiating. Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Anderson Memorial Gardens on Oliver Springs Highway. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Harry Clifton Savage IV, 54, of Knoxville, died suddenly on Saturday, Jan. 22, 2005.
