Williamson, age 79 of Jellico Kenneth "Ray" Williamson, age 59, a lifetime resident of Speedwell Helen L. Derrie Ayers, age 81 a resident of Life Spring Assisted Living Center in Catonsville, MD died Jan. 12 at the St. Elizabeth Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Baltimore, MD. She was born March 7, 19223 in Jacksboro and had resided in Woodstock, MD for 53 years. She was retired from Springfield State Hospital in Sykesville, MD as an Industrial Therapist. She held an Associates Degree in Nursing and was an LPN. She was a member of the Crossroads Church of the Nazarene in Ellicott City, MD. When healthy she was a very active member and participated in activities with the Primetimers and loved to read as a primary hobby. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Ira L. Ayers who died one year earlier; sisters, Lillian McNutt, Alma Wilson, Veatta Whistleman; brother, Alvin (Bud) Derrie. She is survived by her son, Dennis I. Ayers of Ellicott City, MD; daughters, Carol McAndrew of Catonsville, MD, Annette Viellette of Pasadena, MD; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Crossroads Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Kevin Hardy officiating. Interment was in the Crestlawn Memorial Gardens in Ellicott City, MD. Arvel Lee Bearden, age 76 of Speedwell died Jan. 11 at the Claiborne County Hospital. He was born Sept. 2, 1928 in Birmingham, AL, the son of Oscar Lee and Theresa (Gallimore) Bearden. He spent his retirement in Speedwell after retiring from Brach's Candy Company in Chicago, IL. He was active in Church of God Ministries as a soloist and enjoyed writing songs and poetry. He was preceded in death by his brothers, James and Bobby Bearden; sister, Margaret Ann; son, Dennis Bearden; daughter, Connie Bearden. He is survived by his children, David and Linda of Arlington Heights, IL, Bruce and Shelia of Harrogate, James of Tinley Park, IL, Theresa Capps and Brian of Crystal Lake, IL, Jeffrey of Corbin, KY, Randy and Maureen of Burbank, IL; 11 grandchildren and one great grandchild; sisters, Marjorie Clem of Fairfield, OH, Norma Collins of Cobleskill, NY. Funeral services were held Jan. 14 at Avance Funeral Home. Interment was in the Rose Hill Burial Park. Local arrangements were by the Reece Funeral Home and Valley Chapel. Durl Jones, age 79 of the Bethlehem Community in LaFollette died Jan. 20 at St. Mary's Medical Center of Campbell County in LaFollette. He was a veteran of WWII, member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by parents, Oscar and Ethel Ausmus Jones; grandson, Shannon Jones; daughter-in-law, Darlene Jones; sisters, Evelyn Hatfield, Myrie Hawkins, and Odessa Bolton; brothers, Esker, Burl, Claude, and Ellis Jones. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Jones of LaFollette; daughters, Margaret McCullah and husband, Fred of LaFollette, Portia Hatfield and husband, Clarence of Caryville, and Arlene Sharp of LaFollette; son, Arlon Jones and wife, Mollie of LaFollette; grandchildren, Miranda Sharp, Eric and Aaron McCullah, and Dustin Hatfield; sister, Zelma Norman and husband, Don, of Jacksboro and brother, Goldie Jones and wife, Naomi of LaFollette; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services were Jan. 23 at Walters Chapel with Rev. Bill Braden officiating. Interment was in the Campbell Memorial Gardens with military honors by the Campbell County Honor Guard. Walters Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Doyle Benson Harmon, age 31 of Speedwell died Jan. 18. He was born May, 14, 1973 in Campbell County. He was a member of the Pine Grove Church and Powell Valley Masonic Lodge #488. He was an employee of Bell South. He is survived by his wife, Theresa Rene Harmon; son, Devan Shawn Harmon; daughter, Chelsie Renee Harmon; parents, Dean and Catherine Hopper Harmon; brother, Jason Dean and wife, Stacy Harmon, all of Speedwell; nieces and nephews, Dylan, Caitlin and Nicholas Harmon, Brandon Meadows, Owen, Gabin and Shi Ann Mason. Funeral services were held Jan. 20 at Pine Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Branscomb officiating. Music by the Pine Grove Church Choir. Interment was in the Harmon Family Cemetery. Cousins served as pallbearers. Masonic services were held Jan. 19 at Reece Valley Chapel. Reece Funeral Home and Valley Chapel was in charge of the arrangements. Martha Henegar, age 73 of Whitesburg went home to be with the Lord on Jan. 21 at her home. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Morristown. She was Director of Child Evangelistic Fellowship of Hamblen County for over 20 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Henegar; parents, Ledford and Beulah Petree; brothers, Martin Elmer Petree and Carson Petree; sister, Edith Kasler. She was the loving mother and grandmother of her children, Keith Henegar and wife, Sarah, Steve Henegar and wife, Terrie, Marvin Henegar and wife, Barbara, Beverly Calfee and husband, Bill; grandchildren, Pamela, Peyton, Stephen II, Samuel, Travis, Traci, Kimberly, Barbara and Heather; great grandson, Landon; brother, Albert Petree; sister, Dorothy Castleberry; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Jan. 24 at the First Baptist Church of Morristown with Rev. Jim Harmeling and Rev. Danny Georges officiating. Interment was in Hamblen Memory Gardens. Mayes Mortuary was in charge of the arrangements. Johnnie Alvin Human, age 75 of Eagan died Jan. 22 at the Beech Tree Manor. He was born Nov. 11, 1929 at Mill Creek, the son of the late Frank Donald Human and Millie Jane Lewallen Human. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War and a member of Midway Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Joe and James Hurst Human; sister, Madaline Stewart. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Geraldine Teague Human of Eagan; daughter, Teresa King of Eagan; son, George Randall Human and wife, Kathy of Eagan; granddaughter, Sarah Anne of Eagan; brothers, Harley Human of Dayton, OH, Charles Evertt Human of Sunbright; sisters, Maxine Burton and husband, Bobby of Robbins, Sue Lawson Mutter and husband, Archie of Muncie, IN; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services were Jan. 25 at the Clairfield Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Horace Partin and Rev. Francis Dople, Jr., officiating. Interment was in the Clairfield Cemetery. Cox and Son Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Allen Gerald Kucharski, age 61 of Caryville died Jan. 19. He was a Catholic. He was a Vietnam Veteran and a retired auto mechanic. He was preceded in death by his parents, Barney and Veronica Kucharski; son, Charles Allen Kucharski; step-father, Charles Hutchins. He is survived by his wife, Josephine Worley Kucharski of Caryville; grandson, Jordon Kucharski; step-grandson, Mark Sutton; adopted son, Kevin Burlingame; brothers, Ken, Brian and Gene Kucharski; several nieces and nephews. Elizabeth Lumpkins, age 76 of LaFollette, born August 16, 1928, died Jan. 21 at St. Mary's Health and Rehabilitation Center in LaFollette. She was a member of Alder Springs Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Oral Lumpkins; grandson, Stanley Hugh Lumpkins; parents, James and Luola Miller Wyrick, ;brothers, James and John Wyrick. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Dempsey Lumpkins and wife, Barbara of LaFollette; daughter and son-in-law, Oral Miller and husband Edward of Jefferson City; grandson, Steve Lumpkins of Knoxville; granddaughter, Regina Seale of Jefferson City; four great granddaughters, and one great grandson; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Graveside services and interment were Jan. 24 at Campbell Memorial Gardens with Rev. Steve Elkins officiating. Walters Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Delia S. Marlow, age 84 of LaFollette died Jan. 21 at her home. She was a member of the Fincastle Church of God. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Lewis Marlow; parents, Isaac and Maggie Bunch Seiber. She is survived by her sons and daughter in laws, Robert and Betty Brown, Oakland, Md, Allen Brown, Jimmy and Lois Brown, all of LaFollette; daughters and sons in laws, Joyce and Charles Sexton, Virginia and Jeff King, all of LaFollette; brother, Carl Seiber, Briceville; sister, Aileen Tovey, Alpena, Mi; 12 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends and relatives. Freda Marsee, age 77 of Rockford, OH died Jan. 16 at 8:04 a.m. at the Van Wert County Hospital in Van Wert, OH, where she was a patient. She was born July 18, 1927 in Speedwell to John Logan Poteet and Martha Jane Blackburn Poteet. On Dec. 31, 1945 she married Lenie (Pete) M. Marsee. She was a homemaker and had lived in Rockford since 1946, coming from Speedwell. She was preceded in death by her brother, Grover Poteet. She is survived by her husband, Lenie (Pete) M. Marsee; daughter, Debra Coleen Marsee of Rockford, OH; sisters, Leona Price, Viola Davis, both of Speedwell, Dorothy Weaver of LaFollette; brother, Coleman Poteet of Lewisburg; neice, Joyce Emans of Rockford, OH. Graveside services were held Jan. 20 in Yoakum Cemetery with Rev. Gary Mundy officiating. Reece Funeral Home and Valley Chapel was in charge of the arrangements. Gary L. Ray, Sr., age 57 of Duff went home to be with Jesus and family on Jan. 20. He was a member of Duff Baptist Church. Awaiting him at his home in heaven are family members, father and mother, Hugh and Oma Ray; brother, Steve Ray; sisters, Nancy Owens, Emily Bolton, Shirley Ray and Cynthia Gross; mother-in-law, Betty Owens ;brother-in-law, John Earl Milton. his family that remains behind who will always cherish his memory are wife, Patricia Lynn Ray; sons and daughter-in-laws, Lynn Ray and wife, Shan, Todd Ray and wife, Kristy, and Andy and wife, Heather Ray; his beloved grandchildren, Ashlyn, Olivia, Tyler, and Connor; brothers and their wives, Robert L. and Sue Ray and Jerry D. and Sue Ray; sisters and their husbands, Katheline and Virgil Marlow and Carolyn and Charles Vincent. He had many nieces and nephews that he loved and cherished very dearly. His co-workers, schoolmates and friends were also special to him. Williamson, age 79 of Jellico died Jan. 19 at the Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge. He was born Dec. 18, 1925 at Wooldridge, the son of the late Hobert and Mittie Hatfield Williamson. He was a member of the Church of God Mountain Assembly and a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II. He owned and operated the Jellico Monument Company until his retirement. He is survived by his wife, JoAnn Leach Williamson of Jellico; daughters, Cheryl and husband, Ray Tidwell of Jellico, Gail and Rodney Cleverly of Mulvane, KS, Carla and Mark Arwood of Crossville, sons, Donald and Helen Williamson of Oak Ridge, Gary and Sharon Owens of Newcomb; grandchildren, Leslie Tidwell, Erica and Jason Elliott, Travis Tidwell, Stacy and Daniel Cleverly, Trevor Hudson, Rusty Arwood, Eric and Cody Williamson and Tammy Wells; two great grandchildren; brother, Milton and Loretta Williamson of Hebron, KY; sister, Mary A. and Tom Vermillon of Englewood, OH; mother-in-law, Geneva Carroll of Williamsburg, KY. Funeral services were Jan. 20 at the Church of God Mountain Assembly with Rev. Jerome Walden and Rev. Ray Landes officiating. Kenneth "Ray" Williamson, age 59, a lifetime resident of Speedwell died Jan. 11 in Speedwell. He was born Sept. 26, 1945 in Claiborne County to Emmitt Robert and Violet Malinda Berry Williamson. He was preceded in death by his sister, Azalee and an infant brother. He is survived by his brothers, Kyle Williamson, James Williamson, both of Monroe, MI, Fred Williamson, Grover Williamson, Danny Williamson, Calvin Williamson, all of Speedwell; a host of family and friends. A private memorial service is planned at a later date.
