Can some please tell me the address of the Court House in Clinton. I have contacted them twice to no avail but the letters are not returned. Is there any one out there that belongs in the John Wesley Key family ? He was born in 1798 in Tenn. His daughter was my G Grandmother "Sarah F. Key" who died in 1867 in Clinton. She married Thomas J. Prosise, John, married Elizabeth ???? who was born in Va. abt. 1802 and died before 1882 in Clinton. Both are listed in the 1840 & 1850 Anderson Co., I believe they are both buried at the Key-Hoskins Cemetery at Key Springs, Anderson Co., How ever I have walked that Cemetery and there is no marker but did find their son James Wesley Key who died in 1897.He married a Hoskins. Some say Elizabeth was an Allred and I believe that 's incorrect. I thought she was a Vann & now I think that's incorrect John Wesley Key, was a farmer , a jailer, & co., Commissoner of the first Co., poor farm in Jan. 1855. In the 1850 census on each side were the family's Goan's & Walker both of which are in my line but not the Key line. In his estate dated 5, Mar. 1882 he left land & $ to his dead daughter's (Sarah f.) Children. I'm trying to find that will is there another place where I could write to besides the Court House.
