Hello Listers, ???? I am wondering if anyone on the list could tell me a little more about the history of the Galloway home here in Lake City?? It is located on Creek Street, right before you head toward Beech Grove on Highway 116.? My mother in law now lives in the home.? At one time when they were renovating the home, her sister found some letters written by a civil war soldier to his wife.? From what has been told, the soldier later died.? Not sure where those letters are today.? Also found were some invitations for a party dated in 1930's.? I believe her sister may have those now, but not for sure.? She has a book shelf built where the dumb waiter used to be.? We were just curious if our suspicions were true, that this used to be the local hospital before Scott Hospital was built.?
