"Bill" Murray, age 79, a resident of the Petros James Joseph Parker, age 46, of Oak Ridge, Arvil Patterson, age 66, a resident of Harriman, Fannie Ruth Rogers Reneau, age 88, of Oak Ridge, Jo Louise Webb, age 71, of Knoxville and Pawleys Island S.C., Judith Ann Greer, 53, of Oak Ridge, died on Sept. 22, 2007, at St. Mary's Residential Hospice as a result of cancer. Judy graduated from Oak Ridge High School in 1972, attended Roane State Community College, graduating with a degree in Health Information Technology. After passing the National Accreditation exam she became a Registered Health Information Technologist in 1977. Judy began her career at Loudon County Memorial Hospital in 1977, moved to Charleston, S.C. in 1982, returning to the area in 1983 when she began working at Parkwest Medical Center, where she remained employed for over 20 years. Judy attended St. Mary's Catholic Church in Oak Ridge since 1954. She was married for a short time and had her daughter, Amy Greer, in 1980. Survivors include: her surviving child, Amy Greer of Oak Ridge; parents, Lois and John Smith; brothers, Bruce, Mike, Gary and his wife, Senah Smith, and Alan Smith; nephews, Michael J. Smith and Anthony Smith; and niece, Kristie Finney. The Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2007, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father William McKinsey officiating. The family requests that memorials be in the form of donations to the Tribute Program, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942 in memory of Morgan Allison Paul. "Bill" Murray, age 79, a resident of the Petros Community, passed away Sunday, Sept. 23, 2007, at his home. He was born Sept. 13, 1928 in Rossville, Ga. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Rossville, Ga. He worked as a quality control manager for Combustion Engineering for 30 years. He served as chairman of the Democratic Party of Morgan County. He was preceded in death by his parents: James Floyd and Gussie Murray. He is survived by his son: Gary Murray and wife, Lola, of Wartburg; daughters: Cindy Von Achen and husband, Tom; and Terri Mayes and boyfriend, Jim Stubbs. Grandchildren: Shane Murray of Missouri; Shaun Von Achen and wife, April, of Coalfield; Shannon Mayes of Missouri; Meagan Reynolds and husband, Jason, of Knoxville; and Catelynn Stubbs of Petros. Three great-grandchildren: Kara Von Achen, and Brianna and Ricky Allen. Special friends and extended family members: Polly Woodward, Danny Ray Daugherty, Ed Seibers, and Ardeth Higgins. James Joseph Parker, age 46, of Oak Ridge, passed away Friday, Sept. 21, 2007, at his residence. Mr. Parker was born July 12, 1961 in Nineland, N.J. He was a construction worker and enjoyed fishing, welding, and gardening. His greatest love was for his family and his grandchildren. He was a Born Again Christian attending Calvary Baptist Church. Mr. Parker was preceded in death by his father, George Parker. He is survived by his mother, Louise Farside Jakl, and husband Vincent, of Davie, Fla. He is also survived by his wife, Frances R. Elkins Parker, of Oak Ridge; four daughters, Stephine Harrison and husband, Ernie, of Geneva, Ala., Tasha Lively and friend, Steve Rose, of Clinton, Dana Russell and husband, Adam, of Clinton, and Lori Turner and husband, Calvin, of Knoxville; a brother, George Parker, of Ala.; three sisters, Betty Baker and husband, Richard, Patti Caywood and husband, Curtis, and Cathi Shims and husband, Bobby, all of Florida; and seven grandchildren. The funeral will be Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2007, at 8 p.m. in the chapel of Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve McDonald officiating. Interment will be private. Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Arvil Patterson, age 66, a resident of Harriman, died Friday, Sept. 21, 2007, at the University Of Tennessee Medical Center. Mr. Patterson was born July 20, 1941 in Anderson County. He is a lifelong resident of this area. Arvil served his country in the U.S. Army, in Company A, 506 Airborne Infantry. He was a professional musician and a member of the Frost Bottom Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ramsey Patterson and Mazie Carroll Patterson, by a daughter, Valerie Patterson, and by a brother, Hurstle Patterson. He is survived by a daughter, Robin Getsi and husband, Phillip, of Oak Ridge; granddaughters, Tina Monroe and husband, John, of Oliver Springs, and Holly Hale of Oak Ridge; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Ruby Seiber of Harriman, Sue Bunch and husband, Robert,of Sunbright; brother, Oscar Patterson and wife, Estaline, of Oliver Springs; former wife, Linda Boggs of Clinton. The family will receive friends Monday, Sept. 24, 2007, between the hours of 6 and 8 p.m. at Sharp Funeral Home. The Funeral service will follow at 8 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Garvin Walls officiating. Fannie Ruth Rogers Reneau, age 88, of Oak Ridge, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Sept. 22, 2007, at the Methodist Medical Center, after a lengthy illness. She was born April 29, 1919 in McMinn County, Tenn., the daughter of Walter Preston Rogers and Ellen Bethena Davis Rogers, who are both deceased. She moved to Oak Ridge in January 1944 with her husband. She was a member of Central Baptist Church in Oak Ridge. She enjoyed cooking and flower gardening. She also cared for her 37-year old Amazon parrot, Pansy. Mrs. Reneau spent all of her time surrounded by her family in recent years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Buford E. Reneau, who passed away June 9, 2007. She was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Sharon Ellen Reneau, and brother-in-law, John N. Wade. She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, J. Carolyn Reneau Huffine and T. Howard Huffine; granddaughter, Sherrie Huffine Verschueren and great-grandsons, Scott "Scotty" Verschueren and Steven "Stevie" Verschueren; sister, Nina Rogers Wade; nieces and nephews, Johnnie Wilkerson, Judy Harris, Don Wade, David Wade and their families; aunts, Ann Moore and Nell McKeehan; as well as many cousins, great-nieces and nephews and their families. Funeral services are Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2007, at 8 p.m. at Weatherford Mortuary with the Rev. T. Howard Huffine and the Rev. Glenn Ellis officiating. Jo Louise Webb, age 71, of Knoxville and Pawleys Island S.C., died unexpectedly on Sept. 13, 2007, of cardiac arrest while visiting family in Acworth, Ga. She was born in Murphy, N.C., to Dewey and Bertha Garrett. Jo was a registered nurse who attended Baptist Hospital School of Nursing, Carson Newman College and the University of Tennessee, where she received degrees in nursing. She wor ked in nursing administration at Baptist Hospital and Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge, and was director of nursing at NHC HealthCare. She was a Christian active in church work and the church choir. Jo was the former wife of Allen Webb of Oak Ridge. She is survived by two sons, Allan Mickey of Oak Ridge and Rodney Garrett of Acworth, Ga.; and her grandchildren Sky, Alan III, Christan, Cody, Raleigh and Zoe.
