Nov. 19, 1900 - April 11, 2002 Delta Nettie McCoy, 101, of McMinnville, TN, passed away April 11, 2002. Funeral services were conducted April 14 from the chapel of Bilbrey Funeral Home, with burial in Crossville City Cemetery. Bro. Gary Howard officiated. Mrs. McCoy was born Nov. 19, 1900, in Anderson County, TN, the daughter of Tate and Mary Ellen Butcher Childress. She was a homemaker, and of the Baptist faith. Survivors include her daughters, Delta Golden of Montrose, IL, Dorothy Owenby of Knoxville, Mildred McCoy of McMinnville and Arlene Copass of Crossville; and sons, Stanley McCoy of Somerset, KY, Don McCoy of Fort Pierce, FL, Burl McCoy of Peoria, IL, Billy McCoy of Lafayette, TN. She was preceded in death by her husband, Voltaire McCoy; brothers, Tate Childress, Hershell Childress, John Childress and Clyde Childress; and sisters, Mildred Sweeterman, Martha Childress and Nellis Foster. Pallbearers were D.J. Kester, Stan McCoy, Frankie Hobbs, Tommy Tobitt, Brandon Young, J.R. Donaldson and Stanley Tollett. Bilbrey Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
