HAROLD PRESLEY - age 59, Rockwood, Tennessee, RUSSELL, HORACE MANN - age 89 of Knoxville, TN, EDMONSON, MRS. SARA A. - of 107 Golfcrest Lane, Oak Ridge, TN, formerly of Harriman, TN, passed away Sunday 2-27, 2005 in Harriman, TN. Widow of the late Collier Edmonson. Arrangements incomplete, announced later by Jarnigan & Son Mortuary. LONG, JAMES C. - age 80 of Harriman, passed away Sunday February 27, 2005 at his home. He was preceded in death by: his parents, Joe and Della Long; and his sister, Margaret Jo Bizzell. A retired teacher from the Harriman City School system, Jim was an active member of Trenton Street Baptist Church. He was also a member of Southgate Lodge # 569, & the Local American Legion Post. Veteran of World War II, having served in the Marine Corps, he was a devoted family man & an avid fisherman. Survivors: loving wife of 59 years, Martha J. Long of Harriman; daughters, Becky Jones of Harriman, Kathie Parks & husband Larry of Kingston Springs, TN, Mary Jayne Long & fiancé Warren Holston of Brandon, Fl., Krista Helton & husband Steve of Rockwood; son, James C. Long II & wife Shelia of Crossville; sisters, Mary Jane Ingle & husband Phil of Kingston, Martha Jean (Mitzie) Dornan & husband Charles of Lebanon; grandchildren, D. Michael Jones, Joseph Christopher Long, Michael Long, Emily Helton, Heather Long Barger; great grandchildren, Keaton Jones, Amaya Barger, Averiella Barger, Hailey Cole. Special thanks & appreciation to our angels from Heaven & Caregivers, Treva Bryant, Brenda Pressley. Funeral 8:00 pm Tuesday March 1, 2005 at Kyker Funeral Home Chapel, Harriman. Pastor Kim McCroskey officiating. Interment in Roane Memorial Gardens Wednesday 11:00 am. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Tuesday at Kyker Funeral Home, Harriman. HAROLD PRESLEY - age 59, Trinity Avenue, Rockwood, Tennessee, passed away Monday, February 28, 2005 at his home. He was a member of the South Harriman Baptist Church, a Deacon of the Big Emory Association and was a U. S. Navy Veteran, Vietnam. Mr. Newman was employed for 25 years as a Stationary Engineer with BWXT-Y12 Plant in Oak Ridge. Preceded in death by son, Scott Newman. Survivors include: wife, Inez Newman, Rockwood, TN; daughter, Leslie Hope Newman & husband, Darrell, Rockwood, TN; son, Travis Harold Newman & wife, Marie, Harriman, TN; daughter, Dara Hope Newman, Rockwood, TN; son, Dusty Trae Beasley, Rockwood, TN; son, Robert Philips & wife, Tarri, Maryville, TN; daughter, Gena Inez Newman, Rockwood, TN; son, Trinity Scott Newman, Rockwood, TN; daughter, Presley Anna Newman, Rockwood, TN; grandchildren, Jordyn, Morgan & Evan Newman, Topaz Schubert & Stephanie Chambers; brother, James Newman, Atlanta, GA; special sister-in-law, Doris Duncan, Oliver Springs, TN; special aunt & uncle, J. Evans Mortuary of Rockwood is serving the family of Mr. Harold Presley Newman. RUSSELL, HORACE MANN - age 89 of Knoxville, TN, passed away Saturday, February 26, 2005 at NHC Fort Sanders. He was preceded in death by: parents, Bruce and Louise (Lenoir) Russell; brothers, Charlie and Bruce; sisters, Nora L. McDade and Gladys R. Stewart; and son, Horace, Jr. He was a Sergeant in the U. S. Army Air Corps serving with the Tuskegee Airmen in the Maintenance Division. He was employed by the Railroad for 14 years and retired from Y-12 after 22 years, as a Waste Management Supervisor. He was a devoted member of Rogers Memorial Baptist Church where he was active in the Adult Sunday School Department; Male Chorus; Men's Club and the Trustee Board. Survived by: devoted wife, H. Louise Russell, Knoxville; nephew, Louie McDade, Hawaii, great nephew and niece, Sasha and Mia McDade, a host of cousins including the Lenoir and Walker Families, his church family, friends and neighbors on Exeter Avenue with whom he loved sharing vegetables from his garden. Family will receive friends 10:30a.m. 11:00a.m., Thursday, Rogers Memorial Church, 520 College Street; funeral service 11:00 a.m., Rev. Michel S.E. Caldwell, officiating. Interment at Martel Cemetery with Full Military Honors.
