Vireda Pressnell Lindsey NORTH TAZEWELL, Va. - Vireda Pressnell Lindsey, 86, of North Tazewell, passed away Friday, March 11, 2005 at Princeton Community Hospital in Princeton. Born Oct. 10, 1918 in Briceville, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late Edward and Alice Williams Pressnell. She was a member of the North Tazewell United Methodist Church. Mrs. Lindsey was a former teacher's aid at North Tazewell Elementary School. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Lindsey, and two brothers, Earl and Verlin Pressnell. Survivors include one daughter, Norma Jean Dooley and husband, James of Buchanan, Va.; three sons, Michael Lee Lindsey of Tazewell, Va., Richard Lindsey and wife, Janet of Bluefield, Va., and James Lindsey and wife, Phyllis of Cummings, Ga.; eight grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; two brothers, William Pressnell of Loyall, Ky. and Gene Pressnell of Harlan, Ky. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, March 14, 2005 at Peery & St.Clair Funeral Home Chapel in Tazewell with the Rev. Howard Edwards officiating. Entombment will be private at Grandview Memory Gardens Mausoleum at Bluefield, Va. Pallbearers will be Marshall Repass, Jack Repass, Connie Watson, Roger Pike, George Linkous, and Glen Riddle. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. today. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to The Guideons, Tazewell East Camp, P.O.
