Can some please tell me the address of the Court House in Clinton. I have contacted them twice to no avail but the letters are not returned. Is there any one out there that belongs in the John Wesley Key family ? He was born in 1798 in Tenn. His daughter was my G Grandmother "Sarah F. Key" who died in 1867 in Clinton. She married Thomas J. Prosise, John, married Elizabeth ???? who was born in Va. abt. 1802 and died before 1882 in Clinton. Both are listed in the 1840 & 1850 Anderson Co., I believe they are both buried at the Key-Hoskins Cemetery at Key Springs, Anderson Co., How ever I have walked that Cemetery and there is no marker but did find their son James Wesley Key who died in 1897.He married a Hoskins. Some say Elizabeth was an Allred and I believe that 's incorrect. I thought she was a Vann & now I think that's incorrect John Wesley Key, was a farmer , a jailer, & co., Commissoner of the first Co., poor farm in Jan. 1855. In the 1850 census on each side were the family's Goan's & Walker both of which are in my line but not the Key line. In his estate dated 5, Mar. 1882 he left land & $ to his dead daughter's (Sarah f.) Children. I'm trying to find that will is there another place where I could write to besides the Court House. Thanks, Phyllis P.S. GOD BLESS AMERICA !!!

Hi Debbie, I have my family with proof for each, Birth, Death & Marriage certificates, from me back to Benjamin & Mary Davis. I have nothing on Benjamin's parents nor siblings because of the fraudulent genealogy by Gustuof Anjou and the books by Katie Smith & Nancy Reba Roy. If one uses their information it leads to a brick wall of uselessness! NEGRO GRADUATES IN WHITE CLASS OF 57 CLINTON, Tenn. (UP) A Negro boy with 87 white classmates Friday night became the first member of his race to be graduated by a state-supported integrated high school this deep in the South. Far from the sidelines, segregationist John Kasper commented in Knoxville, Tenn., that he hoped the boy also would have the added distinction of being the last. Bobby Cain, 17, was the 35th of the students in cap and gown to receive his diploma from Asst. Principal Mrs. Juania Moser in the gymnasium ceremony before an unsegregated audience of 600. There was no hint of tension or disorder at this scene of last fall's recurring violence which has resulted in 17 arrests on federal contempt charges and at one time brought charges and at one time brought National Guard tanks on the rush. Hammond Times, Hammond, Indiana, May 19, 1957 The numbers 57 and 87 are as printed
