Hi Jim, I am trying to catch up on my e-mails from the past two days. Been busy at the Horsepital and doctors in Oak Ridge and Knoxville for tests and chats we know how when we start getting a little older we just love visiting these places. On the way back home I stopped at the Anderson County Court House to see about getting some info on a will for a young lady on here and found out that Mrs. Harris is off sick with the flu so I didn't get a copy of the wills. If no one gave you a reply to the question on Elisha Long, Isaac Long Jr b. Abt. 1777 in PA d. 1856 in Union Co. TN and Nancy Boulton/Bolton b. Abt. 1778 in VA were his parents. I have no Siblings for Elisha maybe someone can supply that info? John __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo! My son is an artest maybe he will do a better one for me from this one. My son also played base ball as a pitcher, pitched no hitter games and was being watched by the White Soeks before high school but in the mean time started surfing and that was the end of Base Ball. He did wonders and has his own surf shop in Santa Cruz, Calif. Makes surf boards that go all over the world. At age 55 still surfs like a pro. I found out about the Ohio Veteran's Home putting their cemetery online via newspaper article. The article states that some of the stones date back to the civil war. Johnson's Island, in Lake Erie and near Sandusky, Ohio was home to a confederate prison. There is a separate cemetery on the island but to the best of my knowledge it has not been published online. I have visited, however, and a good number of the stones there are marked "Unknown". Sheila
The Ohio Veteran's Home has now put their cemetery online with headstone photos. All but for about 200 graves are on the website. I know some people from Anderson Co. ended up in my part of Ohio (actually, a woman passed away sometime ago and was related to my BROWN line through the BRAY line - I can't remember her name off hand though). I imagine that families came up here to work in the auto plants as the reason my grandfather moved the family to Detroit. Anyhow, for those who might be interested in seeing if one of their family members is buried there, the URL is: http://www.ohioveteranshome.gov/sandusky.asp The cemetery link is on the left side of the page. Best of wishes in your research! Sheila

In 1930, Fannie F. Baker was the head of household, age 77, widowed, birth places TN TN VA, living in Township 2 of Inyo County, California. The only other person living in the household was a grandson Fred W. Schatten age 32, single, birth places CA CA CA. Checking back a little further, in 1910 she was a widow in Inyo County, California, age 57, TN VA TN (father and mother reversed from 1930), 5 children, 4 living. There were others in the household I haven't transcribed. In 1900, she was a widow in Inyo County, California, age 47, 5 children, 5 living, TN TN VA, in the household were four children -- William F., Elton P., George A, and Walter A.K. The brothers were all CA VA TN, so Mr. Baker was probably born in Virginia. In 1880, she was the wife of William A. Baker in Inyo County, California. William was age 51 if I am reading it correctly (much older than Fannie), VA TN VA. The children were William F., Elton, and Fannie G. So I guess between the various censuses we have identified all five children. Hope this helps. Jerry

If I drank I'd tie on a good as they say. I've been looking for this for over 10 years or maybe more. My mouth fell open when I read your Message. Your just great & I'm so happy you have passed in my life. I was just going to explain this in the book and let it go. God Bless You & Yours, Phyllis
Niota, Checked the Selover/Slover book by Marie Hadler and only found the following Lizzie May Slover. Page 459 Lizzie May Slover, born Aug. 5, 1871, Pine Grove, Mich. Md. Mort Richards. No Children I then checked the index of "other surnames" and found Elliots on 5 pages. I didn't find an Edgar although I could not check page 283 as I don't have that page copied. Good luck!!
