What I was saying had nothing to do with Rootsweb it was a cousin from Canada & what my service said not to put more than one attchment on a email & he was putting 3 to 4. John ,was warning us about not opening anything that says FBI because it could be a viris . The email I got was a first for me in 3 years so I was scared to open it. Then I wrote a note to that internet Co. and called my service and they wrote me back saying they put white over my name. I guess they thought we were sending out spam & viris's so my service said. I was surprised as I didn't think we were watched so close. I feel good about it becasue our children can't get all the dirt that's on the internet. Phyllis

    3. Hi Gerald, That is highly possible that this may have been the company that the soldiers were in and shoeing horses for the enemy was a serious charge! Just depends on which side you were on. The War Between The States was a terrible time for our nation it pitted brother against brother and father against son. My Maternal Great Great Grandfather was one Clark L. Cornett from Linesfork, Letcher Co, KY. Clark L. Cornett enlisted in the Union Army August 1st 1863 Irvine, KY and Served in H. Co.47th Inf. Regiment and he mustered out at Lexington KY on December 26th, 1864. My Paternal Great Great Grandfather, William Elvin Chase Jr. joined the Confederate States Army on September 27, 1862 in Knoxville and became a member of the 12th Battalion, Tennessee Cavalry (Day's) and on December 31st, 1862 (3 months later) was killed while charging the enemy. He is buried in a mass grave that contains over 2100 CSA troops in downtown Murfreesboro, Rutherford County, TN one monument is erected there with about 50 names on it. Grandpa Clark Cornett is buried on Island Ford Road in the old Massengill Cemetery in an area that was a Hog and Cattle lot for years. If one doesn't know a cemetery is there you could never tell it by driving by the area. John __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo! 3. John: I hope so, but the Volunteer Times article said March 4. Since I did not attend the meeting last Thursday I don't know for sure. Dedication is set for June 11. I am thinking that possibly this group of Confederate Solders may have been the ones who arrested my great great uncle Lewis Baird at his home here in Elk Valley 11/1/1862. I believe that date is correct which was salavged from the prison records and published by a man by the name of Brown I think. Ironically the prison at Salisbury N. C. where he was imprisoned was opened 11/02/1862. I remember a couple more arrest dates for men who were from Claiborne County. Seems like one was arrested for shoeing a Union horses, he was a blacksmith? --Gerald MAY GOD BLESS YOU ALL!! 3. Hi Niota, I sent it through to you e-mail address and it didn't seem to get bounced back this time. I don't know what the problem is I had trouble sending picture through to Bonnie the other day and I don't believe she got the ones I sent her last night because she has never replied so far for today? Maybe things get backed up on the phone cables and wires I know I ain't the smartest lump of coal in the bucket but it simply amazes me at how this stuff goes over the wires and comes back. Could you just have imagined doing something like this say back in 1920 as far as that goes even 1950? Mane we thought that the old party line on the telephone was something.Just think of all of the inventions a person has seen during their lifetime if they were born in 1905 and are still alive today! In 1930 the main road to Knoxville was still a DIRT ROAD and the majority of people still traveled by horse and buggy. John __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! 3. FBI ALERTS PUBLIC TO RECENT E-MAIL SCHEME E-mails purporting to come from FBI are phony Washington, D.C. - The FBI today warned the public to avoid falling victim to an on-going mass e-mail scheme wherein computer users receive unsolicited e-mails purportedly sent by the FBI. These scam e-mails tell the recipients that their Internet use has been monitored by the FBI's Internet Fraud Complaint Center and that they have accessed illegal web sites. The e-mails then direct recipients to open an attachment and answer questions. The attachments contain a computer virus. These e-mails did not come from the FBI. Recipients of this or similar solicitations should know that the FBI does not engage in the practice of sending unsolicited e-mails to the public in this manner. Opening e-mail attachments from an unknown sender is a risky and dangerous endeavor as such attachments frequently contain viruses that can infect the recipient's computer. The FBI strongly encourages computer users not to open such attachments. The FBI takes this matter seriously and is investigating. John __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo!
