Hi Misty, I believe that this is the subject of a book that was recently written and released by Richard Faschino who was at one time a Detective for Anderson County Sheriffs Office and now works at Lake City. I know that the title is called "Mothers Blood" I have been looking for him for about a month now so I can purchase a copy. Dick does a good job as an Officer as well as an author. I don't want to sound critical of Departments around here but he needs to be someplace where he is more appreciated and a lot better paid. FARM WOMEN HAVE BIG DAY IN ANDERSON COUNTY A very successful Woman's Day was held at Clinton recently under the direction of Miss Leah Parker, home demonstration agent for Anderson county. In fact, it was such a success that several farmers have asked Agent Elrod if he could not arrange to have a "Man's Day" some time in the near future. Between 125 and 150 women from over the county came to hear the program given in the high school auditorium at 9:30 in the morning. After comnmunity singing, devotional exercises, welcome address and response by local people, there were talks on "The Care of Children"; "Good and bad points of ready-made dresses and a few short cuts in sewing," "Making the living room more comfortable and more livable". One feature of the day, was an exhibit where two miniature houses were displayed showing the home and surroundings of "Mrs. Do Right'' and "Mrs. Do Wrong."; "Mrs. Do Right's" house was screened, immaculate and shrubbered. "Mrs. Do Wrong's" house was unscreened and untidy, with the billy goat parked in the front yard. This exhibit was very attractive and added much to the success of the day. " The picnic lunch was served at the school house by the Women's Improvement Association. In the after- noon the women made a tour of the Clinton stores. Practically every stove and bank in Clinton co-operated in some way to make the affair a success and incidentally convinced the women that they could easily buy all their supplies and home equipment as well as their clothes in their town without going to a nearby city or ordering by mail. Clinton merchants are thoroughly convinced of the value of Woman's Day as an advertising agency. Kingsport Times; Kingsport, Tenn.; July 20, 1923 I suppose I'm a Mrs. Do Wrong; no shrubbery...then again, don't have a goat either... Wonder who participated? My relatives had barely enough room to sleep in let alone have a living room.

Now that made my day !!!! Phyllis
Does anyone happen to have the family of W.C. Seivers family He married Mabry Carter Prosise in 1890. thanks Phyllis
Now John get up off your rear and get a before and after photo. Call the Newspaper & have them send a camera man .People have to know things like that can still be done. Just kidding but wish I were there to see it. I wanted to Fly back to IL. when they put my Prosise father & son's up but they would not give us a date. What was really mading was there was still family there & they could have cared less. I think it was something like 125 years for him to get a stone. Have you called Joan ??? Phyllis
All ready to go in the mail tomarrow. I'm happy to help & no charge. Phyllis
I recently posted some information from 1802, 1805, and 1806 tax lists. Subsequently, I was trying to do some lookups on the Seivers family (various spellings) for someone, and I seem to have lost the person's E-mail. So I'm posting to the list. The 1802 list has William Sevoirs (sic), 1 poll, Capt Robbins Company. The 1805 list has no Seivers. The 1806 list has William Seavers, 215 acres Clinch River, 1 poll, Capt Addairs Company. There were no Seibers (any spelling) on any of the three lists. I'm not a Seiver/Seiber researcher, just doing lookups. I can easily do lookups for 1802, but I have to go to the court house for 1805 and 1806. I'll be happy to do the 1805/1806 lists for people, but it will take longer than for the 1802 list. Jerry Bryan
My husband just went & had 2 copy's about the Pearls. I will have one left. Did you want me to mail it to you ?? The other one is going to M. Fannin. Phyllis
