She was the wife of Glen Hobert Martin, a retired L. and N. Railroad foreman, who died 1951. Mrs. Martin was a native and former resident of the Lake City area and daughter of Sam and Martha Huckaby Bradshaw. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Irene Braden and a son, Maynard Hobert Martin, of Toledo, 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services are to be held at 11 a.m. Thursday (today) at the Martin Funeral Home chapel in Lake City with the Rev. Bill Lamb officiating. Burial is to be in Robbins Cemetery on Dutch Valley Rd.

    3. Clinton Courier Aug. 6, 1964 Rites Are Held Saturday For Claude Butcher Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon for Claude F. Butcher, 78, of 510 Eagle Bend Rd., Clinton, who died last Thursday morning at St. Mary's Hospital in Knoxville. Mr. Butcher was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Mason and Eastern Star lodges in Clinton. He was a building contractor for several years and then in the real estate business in recent years. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Appie Guy Butcher, a daughter, Mrs. Roy H. Borum Jr, five grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Ollie Watkins, all of Clinton. The services were conducted by the Rev. Hayward Highfill at First Baptist Church.Burial was in Sunset Cemetery with the Mason in charge of graveside services.

He suffered a stroke a week before his death. He was an employee of the Y-12 plant of Union Carbide Corp. in Oak Ridge. He was born in Daisy nut had lived most of his life in Caryville and Lake City area. He was a veteran of the Army service during the Korean War.He was a member of the Vasper Baptist Church, where he was a deacon, and of the Caryville Masonic Lodge.     3. Clinton Courier Aug. 7, 1975 Heart Attack Takes Life Of Local Pastor A former pastor of Clinch River Baptist Church, Rev. D.L. Phillips, 77, of Phillips Rd., Lake City Rt.1, died Wednesday morning at Oak Ridge Hospital of a heart attack. He had been in poor health for some time with a history of heart trouble and emphysema. He died a few hours after sustaining the attack at his home. Mr. Phillips was pastor of Clinch River Baptist Church for five years, leaving in 1961 to found East Jacksboro Church in Campbell County. He had also been pastor of Indian Creek and Bruce's Gap churches in Campbell County.He had been retired since 1969. A was a native of Scott County but had been a resident of Anderson County for 46 years and made his home on Phillips Rd. for 30 years. Besides his work with the church,Mr. Phillips also worked as a coal miner for 27 years and as a roofing supervisor for seven years during the building of Oak Ridge in the 1940's. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Nora Posey Phillips, two sons, Glenn Phillips of Westland, Mich. and Lemuel Edison Phillips of Mt.
