Aslinger, who has been married five times, leaves seven children, 23 grandchildren, and a number of great grandchildren.     3. On 12-12-2007 I posted an obit on Nora Posey Phillips from the Clinton Courier Oct.13, 1988 and On 12-14-2007 I posted D.L. Phillips from the Clinton Courier Aug. 7, 1975. I posted these to the Anderson Co.and Scott Co. mailing list. On 12-19-2007 I went to the Independent Herald the Scott Co. News and to my Shock these two obits are printed in the obit and list Nora Posey Phillips death Oct.7, 2007. I wrote the Newspaper and I not heard back from them.I do not know how that these obits got print in the paper.I did not want anyone to think that I would have done this, The reason I type obits up and post them is to help with family research. I feel really bad that this was done and truly sorry if this caused any problems for the families. I take my time and post these in hope that they will help in everyone research.Once again I am sorry that this happen and hope that it did not cause and problems for any family members. Susie

Clinton Courier April 20, 1978 Ex-Employe Of Y-12 Plant Dies Mrs. Maggie Freels Hoskins, 78, of Batley Rd., Clinton Rt.5, died at 1:30 p.m. last Thursday at Oak Ridge Hospital of a heart attack.She was a retired employe of the Union Carbide Y-12 Plant in Oak Ridge. In Earlier years she worked for a Lafollette firm which manufactured uniforms. Mrs. Hoskins was a member of Union Valley Baptist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a native of the Batley area and daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Bill Freels. Survivors include her husband, Sam Hoskins and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Sunday at the Sharp Funeral Home chapel in OLiver Springs with the Rev. Milford Ely and the Rev. Lewis Futrell officiating.Burial was in Anderson Memorial Gardens.

He was a member of Clinton Second Baptist Church. He worked for 30 years as a knitter at the Magnet Hosiery Mill in Clinton. He later retired from the Grounds Maintenance Department of the University of Tennessee. Preceded in death by son; Jack Rhyne; parents, Sam and Mary Bly Rhyne; sisters, Flora Rhyne, Bertha Rhyne Stephens, Nellie Rhyne Duncan; brothers, the Rev Leonard Rhyne and Charlie Rhyne. Survivors: wife of 75 years; Mary Alice Kennedy Rhyne of Clinton; son and daughter in law, John and Jean Rhyne of Clinton; sister, Ethel Rhyne Moneymaker of Clinton; grandchildren, Gordon Rhyne, Greg Rhyne, Cynthia Pike, and Susan Zuckerman; five great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. A graveside service will be held at 3 PM Wednesday, Aug 26, at Pleasant View Cemetery in Clinton. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
