Beside the parents, survivors are grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Silcox and Ed Woods of the Dutch Valley community, Clinton Rt.5, and great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. W.F. Baker of Clinton, Rt.1.Services were held at Poplar Creek Cemetery with the Rev.W. D. Barnett officiating.

    3. Clinton Courier Sept. 14, 1972 Death Claims L.D. Ward, 73 L.D. Ward, 73, a retired blacksmith formerly of Anderson County, died Wednesday at Oak Ridge Hospital. Although he was here about a month prior to his death, his home had been at Decatur for some time. He and his wife, the former Sally Patterson, were living there when she died about a year ago. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Indian Bluff Baptist Church with the Rev. Edwin Phillips and the Rev. Guy Lively officiating. Burial will be in Indian Bluff Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday night at Martin Funeral home in Lake City.
