    2. Hello Kathi, I find three references to the HAWKINS family IN Montgomery Co, and Tennessee Co. Here they are: ********** Samuel Vance was present in court in Montgomery Co., TN, Mar. 28, 1808. The next year, he sold land in Palmyra to two men named HAWKINS and THORTON. ********** Land Grant # 1647 to J. HAWKINS and others. Dated Feb. 23, 1793. Warrant # 3125 for 428 ac. in Tennessee Co., TN, on the west side of the Red River. ********** Samuel C. HAWKINS is shown as a Lieutenant in the 24th Regiment June 4, 1808.
