    3. Tamer Jones and Anna May Bryan Jones owned a farm in the Waverly area. I found them on the 1920 Humphreys County Census, Civil District 6 (old District 6) is what it says. The road looks like Mace Creek to Driven Pike Road. I am having trouble reading the roads even with a magnifying glass. According to the divorce records I have when my grandmother filed in Arizona, the farm was sold in 1921. I was hoping someone might have land records of the area and perhaps could find the farm listed. My mom was born in Putnam CO, TN in 1912 and I don't know when they moved to the Waverly area. Sorry I can't give more, I am still searching. Thanks Dee ----- Original Message ----- From: <Yelowstone@aol.com> To: <TN-ROOTWALKER-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, May 09, 2001 9:11 AM Subject: [ROOTWALKER] Waverly, Humpreys CO, TN > Hello Dee, > > Would you share the names of your grandparents, especially surnames, please. > > I am asking this to try to locate an area they may have lived in by using the > surnames. > > Trace creek runs basically east-to-west across most of Humphreys County, > starting in the eastern part of the county just a couple of miles west of the > Dickson County line and running through Waverly to just north of New > Johnsonville, where it joins Kentucky Lake. > > Old Johnsonville is at the confluence of Trace Creek and the Tennessee River, > which is Kentucky Lake. > > Trace Creek Road runs from McEwen through Waverly to it's end about 1/2 mile > southwest of the community of Pursley.
