Good morning Donna, There are two entries in the Jackson County Ranger Book for Nathan WHITAKER. Here are those entries just as they are found in the book with no editing by me. No locations are shown for the WHITAKER homeplace in either entry. ********** "ESTRAY CATTLE 1831 Taken upby Nathan Whitercar One Large Dun Collard work steer 7 or 8 years old Blind in the Right Eye a large white spot on the left side just Behind the left shoulder marked In The left Ear with a crop and split on underbit Two over Bits and an under bit Appraised to $7.50 Decm 1st 1830 Transmitted 1 Octr 1831" ********** "Taken up by Nathan Whitacer two sows one moste white one ear of close to the hjead her left a Red colour the shoats same sandy red and spoted marked a crop off the right underbit in the left appraised to ten Dollars $10.00 14th March 1826 Transmittted 7 Febr 1827" ********** There is one entry for Walter ROBERTSON. It is shown as it appears in the Jackson County Ranger Book. ********** "Taken up by Walter Robertson on Blackbourns fork of the Roaring reger a black mair supposed to be two years old no brands perceivable appraised to twelve Dollars $12.00 Novr 17th 1821 Published Transmitted August 1822" ********** There are two entries for members of the ROBINSON family. I am including these entries because of the close proximity to the homeplace of Walter ROBERTSON. I wonder if they may be the same family. Note that the first name on one member of the ROBINSON family is Walter. ********** "Taken up by Walter Robinson living on the waters of Roaring River One Black Barrow Marked with smooth crop off the right ear and under bit in the left ear appraised to Two dollars $2.00 8th October 1818. Transmitted 1st August 1819" ********** "Taken up by Edward Robinson One sandy Collourd Sow with some black spots marked thus a crop & a slit & under bit in the Right Ear and a swallow fork in the left also six shotes unmarked appraised to six dollars & fifty cents Transmitted 1st August 1819" ********** There are four entries for members of the HUTCHINGSON family and one for the HUTCHISON family. ********** "Taken up by Wily B. Hutchingson One Muly Bool 3 years old a Red and white Colour a smooth Crop off the left and split in the Right Appraised to %.00 5 Decm 1834 Transmitted" ********** "Taken up by William H. Hutchinson 1 Read and white pided stear 2 or 3 years old Branded on Each horn with leter B. L. year marke the Rite splite lefte ear off valed at $4.00 March the 5th 1855" ********** "Taken up by Thomas D Hutchingson 2 Barrow Hogs Both read colourd with some Black spots with white feet Both unmarked Appraised to $..75 19 April 1832" ********** "Taken up by Thomas Hutchergson senr. on Jennings creek one stray Mare a dun color Black main and Tail a small marke or scar on her right shoulder fourteen and a half hands high no brands perceivable about 10 years old appraised to Twenty Dollars $20.00 28th January 1826 This came to me Nov. 1826 Transmitted 5 Febr 1827" ********** "Taken up by James Hutchinson one horse about fifteen hands high of a sorel color about seven years of age a small star in the fore head some saddle spots the left eye weak valed to 60 dollars $60.00 June the 22 day 1841 Proven away" ********** That is all I find in the Jackson County Ranger Book for the surnames you mention.
