Hello Dot, I will hold a map for you, and will send our mailing address to you in a personal email. There is no need to send an envelope. The Post Office folks here in Portland are really great to deal with. They are always advising me on ways to send things and how to save money when mailing items. These maps are simply taped closed on the end so they don't come unfolded in the mail, then a label is adhered to the back showing who they are from and who they are to. The size of the map folded is the size of an envelope and it will go through the postal system without a problem. Last year we sent out some Dickson County maps in envelopes. This cost the price of an envelope plus the postage of over $1.00. I think the postage was around $1.25 each. We weighed one of those same maps at the post office so the mail man could prove his point about the price and the cost to mail that Dickson County map would have been only 45 cents. That is a big savings. Thanks for being part of the ROOTWALKER family. Sincerely, Stan Magnesen ROOTWALKER site/list coordinator ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ In a message dated 4/21/01 6:10:22 PM Pacific Daylight Time, DotPort@aol.com writes: > Subj: [ROOTWALKER] Re: TN-ROOTWALKER-D Digest V01 #82 > Date: 4/21/01 6:10:22 PM Pacific Daylight Time > From: DotPort@aol.com > Reply-to: TN-ROOTWALKER-L@rootsweb.com > To: TN-ROOTWALKER-L@rootsweb.com > > Stan, > I would also like a map.
