Hi List, Suzanne is one of my success stories this year thanks to K Murphy who gave me the lead I needed and Suzanne's posting on the Tn gen web queries. My research plan in Jan was to locate living relatives to my grandmother's brothers and 1/2 sister. My purpose in that research goal was twofold: to reconnect the family's current folks and to locate pictures of the brothers and 1/2 sister. I had talked to all the living relatives I knew, but I knew there were others unknown to me that would have pictures and info. I found: a nephew to grandma, a separate nephew's widow. (by mailing out letters to AVERITT s I found in white pages) I now have picture of one of the brothers to share at our Tn reunion in May. Suzanne who is a greatgrandaughter to 1/2 sister and a grandson to the 1/2 sister by a different child. Suzanne has a photo of him with his father that she is sending him in TX. In a short time we connected in CA, TN and TX. Within 30 minutes of Suzanne and I emailing each other, she scanned a photo of 1/2 sister from 1894! (of course I had to wait for 2 days for her to read my original msg. as she was ill at the time, it was like waiting for a baby.) So, spread that genealogy fertilizer around by mailings and inquires so your family tree can grow!!! Thanks to alll the helpful folks on this list!!!
