Good morning! I have been contacted by a person that is not a member of the ROOTWALKER family who asked if I know where the community of Asbury, in Montgomery County, TN was. Their great-great grandfather had been the postmaster of that small community in the 1840-1850 era. I have checked all the records we have and found nothing about Asbury. The Montgomery County site shows Asbury as an old post office, but I cannot find where it was in the county. There is a community of Asbury in Stewart County on Leatherwood Creek, but that is not the same place. Does anyone have this information that I can pass on to this other person?
