    1. [ROOTWALKER] Ida's family of Montgomery County, TN
    2. Hello Ida, Yes, Bryant Hollow is on the southern side of Montgomery County. I had been told by one of the BRYANT family a year or so ago that most of the BRYANTs in the county were kin, sort of like all of the BAGGETTs being kin. Even before the bridges were put in over the Cumberland it would have been a fairly easy trip for a person going from Bryant Hollow to go to, say, Woodlawn. They would simply have to travel to Palmyra, which is an easy trip, and cross on the ferry there, and go up Palmyra Road and they would be in Woodlawn in no time at all. Or, they could have crossed the river at New York, until the mid-1850's, when the ferry sank and two people drowned. I don't know if they ever put another ferry there or not. This is now called York's Landing. Palmyra road still goes on up into Fort Campbell. Do you know where your family lived on what is now Fort Campbell? Thanks for being part of the ROOTWALKER family. Sincerely, Stan Magnesen ROOTWALKER site/list coordinator ~~~~~~~~~~~ In a message dated 4/25/01 5:58:40 PM Pacific Daylight Time, Idadeal@aol.com writes: > Subj: Re: [ROOTWALKER] Ida's Introduction... > Date: 4/25/01 5:58:40 PM Pacific Daylight Time > From: Idadeal@aol.com > Reply-to: TN-ROOTWALKER-L@rootsweb.com > To: TN-ROOTWALKER-L@rootsweb.com > > << Is BRYANT family from Bryant Hollow in > Montgomery County? >> > > No. I believe Bryant Hollow is on the south side of the county, near > Dickson > Co.
