Good morning Leslie, I checked the directory for Mr. SMITH as an insurance person in Springfield in 1935 but did not find him listed. I think it is a good possibility that the office was outside the city limits of Springfield to be omitted from the directory. A person by the name of F. M. SMITH was listed in the private listings part of the directory with the telephone number of #372. No street addresses are shown in this directory for individuals.
