1. [ROOTWALKER] Union County, TN.
2. Hello TJ, Union County, Tennessee was formed in 1850 from portions of Grainger, Claiborne, Campbell, Anderson and Knox Counties. Union County was named such because of the strong Unionist beliefs among the citizens of the area. If you look on the map on the ROOTWALKER web site at: http://www.rootsweb.com/~tnnmid/counties.htm or use this link , Rootwalker--N. Middle TN Counties--List of Region's Counties , you will find Union County to be #87 in the counties, and it does not touch the state lines of North Carolina or Virginia. Union County, North Carolina, is southeast of Charlotte, and does not touch the Tennessee State Line. I hope this helps provide you with some of the answers to your questions. Thanks for being part of the ROOTWALKER family.
