Good morning folks! We now have a copy of the Jackson County Ranger Book (1817-1860). Since parts of Overton, Putnam and White Counties were taken from lands that were once Jackson, this book may have important information for you about the location of people's homeplaces in days gone by. This book is a record of stray animals, who found them, and where the finder lived at a particular time. The value of the animal is often listed, too. The location of some homeplaces is quite specific. If you have a name you need looked up from that time period, let me know. Thanks for being the ROOTWALKER family. Sincerely, Stan Magnesen ROOTWALKER site/list coordinator ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Would you have anything on Bird (Byrd) Smith Jones or Joshua Bartlett in the Buffalo Valley area of Jackson County until 1854 when it became Putnam CO?
