    2. Hi Kymm, I have more information on the BARNES family from the 1910 Wilson County, TN census. I have a little bit from the 1900 Smith County, TN census, also. Let me know when you are ready for it. Thanks for being part of the ROOTWALKER family. 3. Does anyone have info on a Mary Barnes from probably Putnam Co, who married a William B. Sutton of Overton Co.? They were married in Putnam Co., on September 15, 1893. Who was she? William would have been probably in his 70s. Thanks in advance. Terry Yelowstone@aol.com wrote: > Hi Kymm, > > I have more information on the BARNES family from the 1910 Wilson County, TN > census. 3. Terry, There is a William SUTTON age 54 listed in 1880 census index book of Middle TN he is on page Ov-291. He may be listed with other individuals but they wouldn't show in book I have. There is a Martha BARNES age 45, Pu-87. Several Mary BARNES but none in Pu or Overton in 1880. Do you have a clue to Mary's age? There are several Barnes families in Overton, she could be listed with them. Let me know if you need those page numbers. Also multiple BARNES families in Putnam 1880: She could be listed with one of these entries: BARNES,Lewis, 55,Pu140 John ,47,Pu111 Jo Ab. 65,Pu90 Jessee, 55, Pu147 Hoss, 70, Pu91 good bet depending on her age, maybe this is her father? some younger individuals, BARNES, Alex 21 Pu130 Alice 16,Pu92 Burr, 26, Pu92 Calvin, 22 Pu 100 The 1880 census is on ancestory.com now (i'm not advertising them) but the census is listed online by District. so you have to get creative to find the page. Try to figure out how many districts it would take to get 582 pages (2 pages per number) of census listing. Open up a district and look in right hand corner for the page number. Page number only appears on every other page. Open and close districts until you get close to page 291. I was so ecstatic to find the census on line Friday, as I was too busy to visit FHC to do lookups this week. My computer opens up the pages so oooo slowly but it is better than having to wait until I can get to library.----- From: Dennis & Terry Depp <depp@usit.net> To: <TN-ROOTWALKER-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, April 22, 2001 3:21 PM Subject: Re: [ROOTWALKER] BARNES in Putnam Co., TN > Does anyone have info on a Mary Barnes from probably Putnam Co, who married a William B. 3. Raymond, My William Sutton is the one you mention in the 1880 census. He is listed as widowed. His wife died in 1875. One of his daughters and 3 granddaughters are listed in his household. I have no idea how old Mary Barnes was when they married in 1893. I don't have a membership with Ancestry.com so I can't access the census info that's listed there. Thanks for the names you forwarded. I'll look into them further. Could be also that's a married name for her and she was a widow also. Who knows? Thanks again.
