Hello everyone, Only yesterday, Vanessa and I learned about the Glasgow Highland Games scheduled May 30 - June 2, 2002. These will be held at the Barren River State Park between Scottsville, KY and Glasgow, KY on US Why 31. Many of your families cross over the Tennessee / Kentucky State line and some of them may have landed in that area. I can think of several of you whose genealogical adventures take you into Kentucky. During this event, the Glasgow Highland Games, there will be several genealogical seminars. The schedule is shown below. Thursday, May 30, 2002. 2:00 PM Genealogy Seminar with Grame Mackenzie at the Barren River State Park. 3;15 PM Genealogy Seminar with Beth Gay at the Barren River State Park. Friday, May 31, 2002. 9:00 AM Genealogy Seminar with Grame Mackenzie at the Barren River State Park. 10:15 AM Genealogy Seminar with Beth Gay at the Barren River State Park. 2:00 PM Genealogy Seminar with Beth Gay at the Barren River State Park. 3:15 PM Genealogy Seminar with Grame Mackenzie at the Barren River State Park. June 1, 2002. Beth Gay is scheduled to be in the Historical Tent all day. ********** There may be a charge for these seminars. This is not clear to me. There is, however, a charge for many of the other events of this festival. I don't have all of the prices, but be prepared to pay admission to some things. The festival begins on Thursday, May 30, 2002, at 11:30 am. There is a luncheon to kick off the events. There is a charge for the lunch. All of this festival will be in the Barren River State Resort Park in Barren County, Kentucky.
