Hi Stan, The lady in Wilson County believes Spencer W. TALLEY and his wife Araminta EDDINGS are buried under fieldstones in the Talley cemetery outside of Statesville in Wilson County. The only "will" she could find was an inventory of his estate sale in 1851. The problem of identifying Spencer W. TALLEY's parents or siblings is compounded by finding 4 Spencer TALLEYs in Wilson County. The one that married Elizabeth Webb, had 10 children and died there in 1818 isn't mine. The one born in 1828, married Aceneth H. Williams there in 1850 and moved to Wabash Co., Illinois isn't mine. The one born in 1841 and served as a Lieutenant in the TN 28th Infantry isn't mine. My GG-grandfather was born in VA about 1800 (1850 U.S. census), married Araminta EDDINGS in Wilson County in 1829 and died there in 1851.
