This is an interesting book containing about 300 entries. These entries include information about grants, deeds, various certifications, gifts, bills of sale and other items. If you would like a lookup from this book please post the names of the person or persons you are looking for. Please limit the names to three per request. Remember that Cumberland County is surrounded by Putnam, Fentress, White, Roane, Rhea, Van Buren, Overton and Morgan Counties. If your family was known to be in one of these counties, you might consider seeing if they had any business in Cumberland County that might have been recorded in this book. If you aren't sure if your family was in or near Cumberland County during the years of 1856 through 1860, don't be shy about requesting a lookup from this book.
