Wonder if this is Colonel Peter Phinny Pickard, 1845-1923(?) who lost an arm at the battle of Kennasaw Mountain and later was two time State Comptroller of Tennessee in the 1890's and is buried at Forest Hill Cemetery in Ashland City, Cheatham County and had descendants that used to appear on the Grand Ole Opry and eventually went to California and got into the movie business as musicians, etc.?
