My husband,born in 1932 had a birth cert filed,as baby Hutcherson,everything on it but his name.I was born in 1937,the same happened with my birth cert,I was baby Midyett.Because I applied for mine at age 14,just my dad's written request was enough.My husband had a Social Security number at the age of 15,but never tried for his birth cert until he was in his 50's, I'm not sure how he got his SS number,maybe before all proof was needed,that's why it took a sworn affidivat from his brother to prove that baby Hutcherson was him.There are a lot of birth certs filed in the 20's and 30's that have all info,but the child's first name.Is there a way to secure such a list?
