Hi Dee, I believe Bon Aqua got its name from Bon Aqua Springs, which is really close by. I have seen the springs and they still put out a lot of water. There is a pipe coming out of the spring where you can fill your water jugs or canteens or whatever will hold water. And....It's ccccold in the heat of summer. It seems that in 1837 a man named William Locke Weems found Bon Aqua Springs, which is a mineral spring and a mineral resort was built there. The stone dam, spring houses and I think one of the old houses built in the 1880's are still there on the site. Vanessa's mother was born not too far away with a Bon Aqua address. Her great-grandfather, Isaac Nathan DeBusk is buried close by, and a lot of the people around there, the DeBusk, Mathis, Adams, Stuart, Reynolds and other families are kin to her. I hope this helps answer your question about the name of Bon Aqua. Thanks for being part of the ROOTWALKER family.
