Good morning Jeanne, One time when we were crossing Muddy Branch, at almost the same spot you mention, our Mistletoe supply being on our left toward the river, my grandfather pointed up the creek and said he used to live up there. I would almost bet that he knew some of your clan. We were in the area of this crossing of Muddy Branch when my grandfather wanted to get out and stretch a bit. I think he was probably enjoying some memory from days gone by. He looked up the bottom and pointed from one side to another and said he once plowed all of that land with mules when he was a young man. If anyone has ever looked over Marks Bottom, they would know that involved a lot of plowing! The mistletoe is gone now, and so are the old houses, my grandfather is not with us anymore, but a lot of memories remain. It's kind of nice to recall them. Thanks for being part of the ROOTWALKER family. God Bless America!
