    1. [ROOTWALKER] Location of Dixon Creek Church.
    2. Good morning Odie, Dixon Creek Church was/is located in Smith County, Tennessee. The first passage in the book "Dixon Creek Church, 1799 - 1807," states the following: "A Conference of the Members of Bro. PHIPPS Church living in the (town) of Dixon Creek." This creek is just to the east of the home of Tillman DIXON, a Revolutionary War Captain from North Carolina. The first Court session for Smith County, Tennessee, was held in the home of Tillman DIXON, on November 16 and 17 of 1799. The first settlers came to this area in 1788 - 1789. You can visit this area of Smith County by driving toward Carthage from Hartsville, Tennessee. Dixon Springs, as the community is known as, is just east of the Trousdale - Smith County line in Smith County, Tennessee. I hope this answers your questions. Thanks for being part of the ROOTWALKER family. God Bless America!
